Okay, just so I know if I should interrupt my flight at 1/5th of my flight done to land in emergency,
Say E3 fails (on a 747 so 4 Engines) should I just shut off E2 to stabilize the push and keep going, or just land?
Because on my last flight, E3 fell on-route, I decided to shut off E2 to stabilize the push and I turned around for the nearest airport I knew large enough to welcome me (KJFK, at about 60 miles behind)
Would it have been wise to keep going all the way to KMIA with 2 engines down (I know E4 would most likely overheat to keep a push equal to E1 and E2, or wouldve ran out of fuel so I justs shut off E2)?
