Hey.
I have good and bad news. Bad one is that i need to sell my current cockpit desk and modernise my sim project. Good is that i will be able to make smaller simpit, probably more functional, but not connected to any existing airplane cabin or anything simmilar. That will be something like not-so-small box with pushbuttons, some LEDs and other simple instruments + Saitek panels as hardware for xplane sim.

Main story is that i dont want to throw away or trash my current desk - someone may want to recycle it and use for own cockpit. Story is then to SELL it to someone, but (unfortunately) desk is quite big and heavy.

Read below, i will quote and translate my post from other simflying forum.

Hello.
I had moved to new apartment, and i am unable to sustain my current desktop simpit setup. I have not enough room to use current and builf full cabin simpit. I will make smaller simpit, but with limited dimensions (simple pushbutton box).
This desk is inspired by other simple simpits, but is not aircraft specific. It should be good for flying with all needed controls, but also (without demolition) as usual computer desk. Same computer need to work as sim base and work machine with some office.

Detail as follow:

This photo represents all wood sheets used in project. Numbers with "x" inside drawings are number of plates. Numbers on sides are dimensions in milimeters, rest are weights in kg for checked plate types on home scale (not accurate). All stuff is made from 18mm MDF boards painted grey, after build.

Some details of old setup, during one of my flights (personal one, not affiliated with ach in any way). I had 3 CRT monitors, some speakers (5.1), Saitek yoke. There is quite much of desk details visible, including some surface for maps, that can be removed, or stowed under main workbench. Holes in main part were planned for angled panel areas.

Even more details of desk, with holes for cables visible. Including not mounted (and partially painted) storage doors for lower part of desk. Doors were never mounted because of dangerous high CPU temperature after closing fromt side of desk.

Last is sketchup (by google) plans for desk, with dimensions in milimeters. White is semifinished (less details of doors and no legs for external, moving parts. Black is finished. Both models have transparent, angled surface representing place designed for all instruments, inclufing fmc, mcdu, pfd, nd, fms, radiostack, sound and electrical controls (of simulator, not airplane). There was also overhead panel planned as copy of airbus one (2 engine), but project never started.

Tech details.
Aprox weight of whole desk is around 80-90kg. Its VERY durable, absolutely no bend of anything even when jumping on it. All desk boards are connected with high amount of screws with make some parts look as airplane plating. Overall there is more than 250 screws (or around that number). Some areas are not painted. Mostly because of paint smell and my family "no" for painting inside home.

Someone who will buy will get paint cans, screws for mointing doors (including hinges), some cables and electrical switches for power distribution inside desktop simpit.
Dimensions are aprox: 144cm width, 60cm lenght, 100cm height. Main workbench is on 65cm above floor.

Transport.
Around Warsaw i can deliver and mount desk. Bigger distance is problematic because of size and weight of all parts. Biggest plate is aprox. 150x60cm, total number of parts including legs, hinges and other details is more than 25, and total weight is around 90kg. That is quite hard to deliver, including fedex or something - but is possible to do. We can talk about, but deliver costs will be on buyer side.

If someone want to buy it - call me on PM, same if someone have any questions about construction, plans, etc.

Regards.

PS. With additional cost i can sell also 2 small (10,5") LCD's with speakers (native 800x600 px). After removing frames and making little DIY with them - they will fit perfectly inside simpit, and will be perfect for set of PFD/ND on one, and ECAM/Lower ECAM on second.
