XACARS and discos whilst online

Disconnections can occur for a variety of reasons and can be very frustrating when they occur towards the end of a two hour flight. I use XACARS to record flights and previously used Flight Keeper but found that to be not to my liking. XACARS will close on a disconnection and is not, as far as I can see, recoverable.

I continue to use XACARS but at the same time I have gone back to which I have used virtually since it first came out and it has never let me down. It pauses on a system crash and can be resumed on recovery. This is used by several VAs apparently - any thoughts on using it here?

FS pilot payware - i would bought FS Passeners or Flight Keeper (with discount for ACH)

For X-plane useres... Xacars is only alternative, there is absolutely nothing else working in terms of acars software. Anyway i cant find any alternative. And i'm not talking about MacOS or Linux compatybility of software under X-plane terms.

William, can I ask what you don't like about Flight Keeper?

If I could only use 1 payware product, it would probably be flight keeper.

Start it, press just a couple of buttons, fly, land, press 1 more button, and all done.

It is just too full of extras that I do not want. I always fly on-line and I have had some disconnections which have resulted in losing a flight as FK could not recover the information for whatever reason. Flight Tracker has a small footprint with a folder size of 7MB whereas FK needs 650MB of space. It is right for many people but is not my personal choice.

I had a quick look at Flight Tracker. The VA functions are "basic", to say the least, but we will look into it, make some tests and possibly include it.

Given the ~5 to 10GB of an average sim installation, 650M don't look that huge to me ;)
