ATR72-500 WS and vasFMC

Hello all, hello Tom and Hartmut,

I fly beautifull ATR72 creation for XPlane and am very excited about it (thanks to Tom and Hartmut). I am using vasFMC together with ATR which works great (XPlane on the desktop, vasFMC on laptop).
However as I do not have any specific ATR72 config file for vasFMC I am using A318 config. Actually it works, however I believe the ATR-config should be somewhat different.
I was already looking into the A318-config file and tried to change it, however with my limited knowledge I was not able to adjust it for ATR (not clear about parameters and values).

@Tom and Hartmut, and all XPlane ATR community:
- is anyone able to create ATR-config for vasFMC and share it

Try posting on vasFMC forums, there may be someone who already have cfg for atr and not need to rewrite new. Also there are some files with some basic descriptions of cfg options.

just noticed that there is new vasFMC version out ==> 2.1

I did not try it yet, so can not say how compatible is it with ATR72. This new version has more config files available for number of aircraft (Airbus and Boeing), but still not for the ATR :-(

Hello all,

started to build own version of config file for vasFMC 2.09a. All working (I believe) apart of auto-throttle, so if you want to try feel free. If someone has an idea how to make auto-throttle work let me know (Problem is that by usage of auto-throttle the speed drops to approx 130knots. In case of climb it goes even further down and aircraft stalls :think: ).

AT work correctly without vasFMC? It may be airplane cfg file, not vasfmc problem. Also it may be connected to use of AT: A-style or B-style?

AFAIK real ATR72 have no AT function at all...

yes, ATR does not have any auto throttle, I know that.

Actually if I fly ATR with vasFMC Airbus A318 config => auto-throttle works quite well. But my config does not.

Rainer, does the planefolder not include performance charts of the ATR? With VASFMC I cannot help you in no way. I never used it. And the plane has no autothrottle!

Hello all,

I was using number of documents (including performance charts) and the vasFMC config values provided in my previous post are working ok (can confirm after couple of flights). As mentioned below auto throttle does not work, however it does not exist in the real ATR72-500 aircraft, so no problem.

In the meantime I learned that config files between vasFMC 2.09 and 2.10 are incompatible :-(

So with this I believe the topic can be closed.
