Future Concorde in fleet ?

Hi all Captain's

I'm working with an aircraft painter to create a Concorde X Air-Child livery.
Could it be possible to create an registration for it? (When ready and validate by staff)

The first destination could be KJFK from EDDK or EHAM.
I've already prepared a flight plan and fuel schedule for that trips.

What do you think about?

Cheers
Pierre ;)

Hello

Is there good Concorde aircaft for FS9? Is it freeware or payware?

R.

Hello Rafal,

Yes there are two at least (payware):

SSTSIM is in my point of view the best for fs9. Even the graphics are modests, the flight model is excellent.

PSS It has better graphics, but the flight model is unrealistic.

I think there are others freeware but don't know their qualities.

Hi Captain's

Here is the first step of the Concorde X Air-Child Repaint. (German registration D-AGPR):

It's my first repaint and the FSlabs painkit is not a good quality one. (symetry issue on the fuselage).

Tell me what you think about. :(

Cheers
Pierre ;)

Hey Pierre,

Pretty simple and straight forward livery <- I like :)

Just an idea: Maybe you could manage to continue the blue arc on the tail so you get a smooth transition with the blue strip on the fuselage. You could then paint the entire tail section in blue. Maybe leave a white rectangle over the flags and the registration to keep it readable :)

Just consider these lines as ideas - no critique on your job ;)

It's a pity I'm a FS9-pilot. You FSX pilots do have a great Concorde model with FlightSimLabs :)

Hi Mario,
Thanks for tips and critiques (They are always usefull for progress).

The first of them is impossible to do because the paint kit and/or the MDL of the aircraft is not a good quality one. :envy:
It suffers of symetry issue and if I paint the entire tail section in blue as you say (It was my first idea), a blue line goes forward on the left half fuselage and a white one on the right one.

The tail cone suffers the same issue. That's why I've decided to remove blue on it.

The junction between wings and fuselage have the issue too. So I've reduced the height of the blue line along the fuselage.

Unfortunately, Other painters have had the same problems with this aircraft and their model were not validated by their VA.

It's a shame to see FSLabs never gives any answer when the issue was described on their forum. :x

I'll show you the second step.

Cheers
Pierre ;)

Hmm, that's bad news :(
Bad customer support is the worst one could expect from the developers.

A agree indeed.

Here is a second idea:

Very lighter but seems not so bad

What do you think?

Even better Pierre :)

Maybe one more idea for the tail fin? :)
Maybe try to paint some kind of arrows (maybe 2?) to symbolize the power and the speed of the aircraft?
Looking something like that:
Unbenannt-1.jpg

Or maybe leave it white and just add a large air-child logo ? :)

Hi Mario,

This is an idea to explore, I will try a new model with this kind of design.
As soon achieved I 'll show you the results.

Cheers
Pierre ;)

Hi Mario :hi:

Here is the new livery with some of your idea integrated:

:)

We have to keep in mind that Concorde couldn't have many colours on its fuselage and wings and stay white for a max because the heat (about 90/100°C, 127°C on the nose) at Mach 2.0.

That why in the past, a Coca-Cola livery was used but the aircraft painted so couldn't pass the sound barrier.

Cheers
Pierre ;)

:goodjob:

It's looking great - honestly :)
Not overloaded but incorporates everything needed.

Hi Mario,
Thanks to you for tips and ideas.

Hope the Staff will like.

Hi Pierre,

I've had no internet the past week, so haven't been able to reply.

I like the simplicity look. Only suggestions I would have, (which you don't have to do if you don't agree) is to make the blue on the tail go down to the fuse (if that is possible with the paint kit), and make the Air-Child logo larger, maybe move it to the gap between the front door and the start of the windows. (and then maybe move the 'kids' to above the middle doors to even it out)

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for reply and tips.

Concerning the tail, it is unfortunately impossible because the FSLabs paintkit has a bug in symetry.
If I do that (I did it on the first step project), there is a blue line on the right up side of the fuselage and a no coloured line one on the left up side.). The same thing occurs if I try to paint the tail cone in blue.

Your second tip is very intersting and I'll present a new version as soon as possible.

Cheers
Pierre ;)
