Jrollon CRJ200 for X-Plane

Is there any chance to add CRJ series to fleet? :wonder:
I frequently fly X-plane becouse i found flight dynamics more realistic than fsx and X-plane run smoothly. I dont used X-plane until jrollon CRJ200, there is lack of some good addon aircraft, this plane is first realy good for X-plane in my opinion, I almost switch to X-plane this year - but then PMDG makes 737NGX :)
Anyway, I'd like to se this plane in our fleet someday

To be honest, chances are rather small for the CRJ. We recently agreed that we will not extend the fleet any further, especially not include another manufacturer. Adding a new manufacturer or "brand" involves a lot of data adjustments in many places of the VA system. With all the manufacturers and aircraft types we have now, there will already be a lot of work, once we include the financial part. We will need a lot more performance data for each ac type than we are using now (and that's some, already).
So, I hope the new NGX will keep you busy for a while and help you get over the CRJ :)

don't worry, I understand now why is so complicated.
I'm really curious about new financial system, I saw that all things here were well done so far
Tell me if I can help sometime, I have a couple of hours/day for Air-Child

Thank you for your understanding, Zeljko ;)

Thanks. I will send some info to you by PM - but probably not before tomorrow.

My school background is economic so sign me in too if you need any help or testing.

That's bad to hear, but one more try to explane the importance of the CRJ in the fleet:

In X-Plane nearly every plane acts like a Cessna - you can start a 747 in 1 Minute for example. But that has changed when the CRJ has been published - from now on, all the other planes are worse if you compare them regarding simulation instead of gaming (everybody who tells you the opposite didn't see what is possible by flying the CRJ).

Therefore at the moment in X-Plane there is only one (!) aircraft which is as well simulated as the simulation of an airline expects, and that's the CRJ200. In the future there is one more aircraft in sight, but nobody knows when it will arrive (its the 737 Classic from IXEG) and therefore we X-Planers cannot simulate our flights in a way we would like to do at the moment.

One more reason is the major step forward for X-Plane after releasing version 10 and the not well known future for Microsoft Flight, so I assume that a lot of people will have a look at X-Plane and I assume that one of the killer apps like PMDG for MSFS will be the CRJ for X-Plane for many users upcoming decission if to switch or not! Btw., because of the expected switch of many users, even a lot of tools get developed at the moment, which have been MSFS exclusive in the past. As an example, I can tell you that I am working on an improved online experience (VATSIM) for the future.

I have been flying for some thousands of hours in FS and also in X-Plane, I also helped during the V3 development of the x737 and I fly VFR aircraft in real - so I think I know what I am talking about :)

Although I have not sent any PIREP for ACH for a long time now, I would like to kindly ask you to add the CRJ200 to the fleet - not just for me, but of course I would like to see the only bird I am flying online also here in our fleet.

Cheers,
Bernhard.

Bernhard, I have not even spoken to Norbert yet, who sent me your email, yesterday, but I know he will agree: as a long time member who was always very helpful with our questions regarding XAcars and a representative of our favourite vACC, we will not let you leave, just because the Air-Child fleet is not up to modern requirements ;)

Your arguments also made clear how important the CRJ is for X-Planers, so if we say X for X-Plane, we will also have to say Y for ... Why not!
I hope, however, that you understand that it will take a little time to integrate the CRJ. But if Norbert is not too busy we may have at least some charter aircraft within the next 2 or 3 weeks.

This doesn't mean that all we recently posted about not further extending the fleet is invalid. But certain circumstances require appropriate measures :)
I hope you can enjoy flying for Air-Child again, soon, Bernhard!

Peter

Ooooh, that are great news! Maybe you could post your needed specs and we, the CRJ pilots here, try to get the data so you do not need to use time for that.

Cheers and thanks a lot,
Bernhard.

Btw, is somebody here who is able for painting tis beauty - the CRJ200?

Here you will find the CRJ200 Rollon ACH livery.

sorry no pic - please shoot a nice pic and post it here!!!
Cheers Tom

Thanks! Just downloaded and making a first flight with it after my current VFR trip from Dubrovni to Elba :)

cheers,
Bernhard.

Of course it would be nice to have the CRJ200 in our fleet - as long as she is not there I book another similar plane like the ERJ145 and use the CRJ200 cause she is not available - like it happens every day in the real world :)
I am sure norbert and peter will have a look on xplane but we are really a minority. Maybe it will change in future if XP10 will be out and work properly. In the moment XP10 is just a big bug and it will be like this for a while till austin mayer and his crew are getting the bug reports from the disappointed user world - ir was the same in version 9 - but in the end it will work fine - but this will cost some time for sure.

cheers tom

Exactly! It's like renting a car over the internet: do they ever give you the model you booked? No :D

Thanks a lot for the livery, Tom and Hartmut! We will provide the file in the repaint hangar, as soon as possible. But first I will have to adjust the layout because in the X-Plane view there's no more room for Bombardier, as you can see ;)

Ok, CRJ livery for X-Plane is uploaded and ready.
The changes I've made to the layout may look weird if you don't clean your browser's cache ;)

Oh, and we still need a nice screenshot!

Hi to everyone!

Just wanted to say hello, since I'm a new meber of the air-child community.

I will mostly fly the CRJ-200, since it's simply the BEST x-plane aircraft.

Best reagrds,

Christopher
