Breaking the limits?

I am trying several different aircrafts from the ACH-fleet, looking for the best for me (beauty, realism, etc.). But I am also searching the "limits" in flight (max. altitude, range, etc.). This afternoon I went from Amsterdam (EHAM) to Athens (LGAV) with a Fokker 100 (my favorite aircraft at this moment, using MacOS X and X-Plane 9), 1283 nm in 03:42 hours. The official range (full load) of this F100 is about 1320 nm. If I take a full tank I could fly max. 4.3 hours. But I am curious and I took a look in the ACH-"flight reports - pireps" to see other flights with this bird. I saw (surprise, surprise) that flights from New York (KJFK) to London Heathrow (EGLL) are possible (???). A flight of 2989 nm (more than twice) in 07:41 hours (without a stop, I suppose). This one was not the only flight that "broke the limits", it's just an example.
My questions: is this possible? is this a difference between X-Plane and the several MS Flight Simulators?
I've been looking in internet for the specifications of many different (real) aircrafts because I though that the simulations (X-Plane and MSFS's) should use those specifications. Is that actually so? I do not know it anymore for sure... I feel very uncomfortable about this point. You see... it's not fair... I would someone had told me this months ago. But nobody said "this is a game, an illusion, it's not a simulation".
I know it must be possible to adapt/modify the interface of the panels of the aircrafts, or the sceneries, but if we talk about, for example, the Fokker 100, we must all understand that the specifications must be the same in all different flight simulators and operating systems. That's the only way to play and fly together in a Virtual Airline like Air-Child and with networks like VATSIM and IVAO.

Max range for Fokker 100 is 1300nm or 1700nm, depending on model.
From my experience, there is not any good simulation of fokker aircraft for x-plane.
The really good simulation is Digital Aviation Fokker 70 and 100, but only for Fsx and Fs9. They respect all specifications, and flight dynamics is realistic(as much as this is possible in Fsx). Don't have virtual cockpit, it's in development right now.
If you looking for realistic simulation, for FSX: PMDG 737NGX, PMDG JS41, RealAir Duke.
For X-plane: Jrollon CRJ200

Hi pilots -
I think you are talking about "my" Fokker F100 WS, which is available only for airchild pilots. If you speak about this plane I can assure you that all specifications are very close to the real one - as far as it is possible in XP without using plugins. During the building of this aircraft I had contact to RR, to javier cortes and to a guy in canada who does maintenance on exact those engines. I had all tables of this plane and did - I do not know how many testflights - but really a lot to come close to the tables. but engine simulation is limited - example you have to choose a FL and an N1 / EPR setting out of the table (best isa temp) and then you have to trim the simulation engine that it has this settings on that FL and burn the fuel what is should burn on tihs level with this temp and a certain speed. If isa changes every thing changes in the real world but not here - and it is just not possible to match all the settings which I have on the table. Maybe it will in future with more plugin driven planes but I do not think it is just to much. Of course I faked some systems - example you do not have real FLEX Settings also this is not possible without plugins and till now there is only peters A388 which simulates FLEX settings.
But for now I can assure you this Fokker is one of the best you find on the sim market and it is for free. we are thinking with ramzzess about a new F100 with 3D pit and more system depth. We will see.
Cheers Tom

Hi Tom, I didn't know anything about airchild fokker, x-plane secrets etc. I have x-plane 9, realy like flight models, but there is lack of quality addons like PMDG.
I like only Jrollon CRJ200 for X-plane, now is updated with TSS sounds, but still far away from PMDG. But x-plane has made some progress in that direction, I'm curious about X-plane 10.
Do you know where i can find good plugin for force feedback? I have downloaded something, but my joystick vibrates only on the ground.
And I have one more question, I use fsx for airchild flights, but I'd like to try your airchild fokker, can i get it? I don't see secret forum right now...

You do not see this forum cause you are not registered as xplane pilot :)
But now it will be open for you.
Cheers Tom
