Hi everyone here.
My name is Hans-Dieter and i just joined the VA.

Preparing my first flight for the VA i was looking for some repaint for the default fsx 737-800. Couldn't find anything. Any hint?

Best regards,
hans-dieter

Hello Hans-Dieter,

Sorry I don't have a hint :'(

...just a warm welcome

But I guess, that there is no repaint for the default machine, otherwise it would be in the hangar/ repaint section...

Have a funny time here.

Oliver

Welcome Hans-Dieter,

I do not believe there are any paint kits for the default flight simulator planes, so making an Air-Child livery would be quite difficult.
The majority of add-on aircraft have paint kits available.

Thanks to both of you for the quick reply.

I understand your answers ...
but on the otherside ...

buy (an add-on planes) or
don't fly.

Maybe you should mention that fact in the "getting started" section.

Well, i will think about this fact and make a decision.
For the moment ... thanks again for the reply.

Hi,
at first, welcome to the club!
next, you don't have to choice. just book an a/c you have in your default fsx and fly. there is no need to buy addon-a/c. Or look to the numberless freewaresites for some A/C, which are not default fsx but in our fleet.

When you sit inside, you don't see the colours outside, and we do not recomment to fly with the a/c-repaints.
Many regards

Welcome to Air-Child, Hans-Dieter!
I hope you're not leaving us so soon, just for a missing repaint, before you had a look at what Air-Child offers apart from that ;)

Let me explain some things: Company repaints are not mandatory to fly for the VA. They are more like an 'extra' to increase the immersion of flying for a virtual company. However, I understand that liveries are more important for some people, and less for others.

Now, as new members always have (at least) one wish for free, we will try to provide the default 737 repaint as soon as possible. But please understand that everyone here contributes to the VA in his spare time, so sometimes (or mostly) things take some time to get finished.
As Andrew already stated, it's more difficult to make a repaint without a proper paint kit (template) for the aircraft. That's why we have more repaints for payware aircraft than for freeware and default models.

In the meanwhile, I suggest you have a look at our flight search, booking & briefing sections, and you'll see that there's more to find here than just liveries. If you are new to flight simulation, don't hesitate to post on the forum whenever you have any questions. We don't have many painters here, but a lot of experienced pilots, willing to help :)

Grüße aus Stuttgart,
Peter

Hi Hans-Dieter,

And wellcome to Airchild!
I'll tell you a secret that is passed from pilot to pilot, from one generation to another, from the beginning of universe, flight siming and Virtual Airlines...
Nobody can see what livery you flying, not even the type of aircraft you fly. You can change livery name in flight report.
You can fly for airchild default fsx 737-800 or any type of aircraft, just rename your livery to "airchild".
Depending on what program you use for flight reports - i use FS Flight Keeper, witch automatically detect livery that i use. All I have to do when i fly other livery then airchild is to rename current livery inside FS Flight Keeper to "airchild".
I asked the same question when I joined airchild  No one will force you to use Payware add-ons. Try to relax and have a good time here.
Cheers!
Zeljko

Lol!
It took me some time to write my response to Hans-Dieter, I see that you have cleared the problem in the meantime

Zeljko, not even that is required. The livery does not show in any reports :)

Awwww. guys,
thanks for all the kind replys.

I know, i don't see the livery by siting inside :)

You won't loose me, just about a missing livery.
Flying for ACH just wanted me to have the right livery when cruising around in offline-mode ;-)

The next days i will install all the needed SW to handle the "VA Stuff".
And i just spend some mins starting to do my own paint.
Well, i'll see if i can come close to the offizial ones.

So, still excited to be in the VA and hoping to have my first flight for the VA (EDDK - EDDS) within the next days.

Regards,
und schöne Grüße aus dem Süd-Schwarzwald
