Smartassembly error with 737 NGX

Hey all,

very frustrating error yesterday evening.

My first flight on Vatsim with the PMDG 737-700 NGX, full of confidence, on a short hop from Manchester to Dublin... departure from Manchester EGCC went very well, I was pleased how I was able to cope with ATC without embarassing myself too much.... then on approach to Dublin (EIDW), bang.... FSX CTD with an error "This features requires smartassembly.... bla bla bla". The only comfort I have is that the ATC part was behind me, because no controller was online at EIDW, but still it's frustrating not to be able to finish an online flight which started and progressed very well.

Have had this error in the past, but then it went away. Unfortunately it came back yesterday.

Have googled it, and it *might* be related to UT2, which I have installed, but then again that's not sure.

Anyone here has experienced these issues ? And how were they solved ?

System specs are good enough I think, and have probably nothing to do with it.

Core i7-2600k stable at 4.0 Ghz
8 GB of RAM
Nvidia GTX580

Saitek X52 Pro is my controller.

Thanks for any replies.

I just searched for "smart assembly" since I never seen such a message, and here's what I found:

It provides you [the developper] with quick, continuous, and automatic reports on any unhandled exceptions your customers encounter in the field, as well as feedback on how users are interacting with your application. With this data, you can deliver faster fixes and improve your software in a way that will make a real difference to your customers.

In short: it sends crash reports to the developper. So, it seems that smart assembly was probably not the cause of your problem, but rather the effect, after the app has crashed.
Apart from that I can just say that I use UTE + NGX without any CTD's, so far (knock on wood).

Do you use any add-on scenery for Dublin? Corrupt scenery is the number 1 reason for ctd's :S
