fsPassengers pmdg 737 ngx fsx = crash *solved*

Hi all, for some reason I can't work out, if i load fsx its fine, if i load fspassengers its fine, if i load the pmdg with fspassengers it stoppes responding and geting me a fatal error and this was working.

I've uninstalled everything and reinstalled it no luck

ive repaired fsx and uninstalled it then reinstalled it

Am not a computer wiz so if someone could help me find the problem id be greatful

Hello

I think it is because of windows 8. FSPassengers wasn't designed for windows 7 there were some changes for it from Dan (the owner), but since then it isn't able to work with windows 8.

Hello Wes , glad to see I'm not the only windows 8 user :) . Question, when you installed FSX , did you install it in the default programs file? If so you will have problems with it. FSX needs to go outside of the programs file ie C:/FSX.

Ye windows 8 is rubbish and just a problem for most things unlike the solution they made it out to be.

Just incise anyone else has had this problem I've managed to fix it to a point to where I can fly and it will work and load the flight to va with no problems, windows 8 runs fsp with a few minor registery changes visit fs passengers site for the registery file the problem with the pmdg 737 ngx seem to affect all windows Xp, vista and 8 it's a problem from pmdg to fs passengers and fs passengers to pmdg.

Solution

Load fsx select aircraft and icao, load flight, start your pmdg systems and open FMC/CDU and enter your fs actions page.

Click fuel reset fuel needed say 44% should give around 21k kg

Back out

Click load select set empty

Back out now you can set your flight plan etc

Open menu by pressing alt > fs passengers > fs passengers settings > general setup look down the list line 12 should be manifest dialog change to do not show load manifest

Start your fsp now you can load your passengers and luggage etc start flight

Before you do anything else IMPORTANT open FMC > fs actions > fuel if your fuel is 21000 ad 200 to 400 litres so your new fuel is 21300

You will now get a notice saying about fuel with pmdg gsx and fs passenger click close


Enjoy your flight if you don't add the 200 to 300 litres it will bug the pmdg and cause a desktop crash or freeze hope this helps someone

Yes mate I had to do that but i think it's just a problem with pmdg conflicting with fsp with fuel and load making the aircraft carry 2 sets of fuel and load causing it to have a spaz attack and throw a tantrum

I was reading that pmdg offered to work with fsp to solve the issue but dan from fsp refused to work with them and Anthony from pmdg said this is a shame.
 
Yes that is a shame Wes . Fspassengers is a great program . Alas I haven't used it for a long time since I went to fs2crew. I needed a copilot ;) . I use fskeepers for reporting and because it has the taxiway map that I can see when on vatsim :rofl: . Can't read the print out of airdrome charts without a magnifying glass. Plus I couldn't bear hearing the passengers scream when when landing :lol:
 
I was thinking of getting fs keeper but as am already in a full time job learning pmdg 737 I think I'd end up confusing myself as it looks like it's quite detailed but once I learn to fly the pmdg 100% I will get my fs2crew fo to do most of the work while I learn new things

What is your experience with both fs keeper and fs2crew

I had a few issues with 2 crew not understanding my ascent and then also refusing to follow my orders so he got sacked. Plus when it comes to landing it's was all to fast to remember what to say in the small time you have to complete the 3 prelanding check lists but still a very clever program.
 
Hello Wes, I never fly my ngx without fs2 crew! The trick to it is to train the voice recognition a few times,and after that it gets better the more you use it. As far as it goes too fast during landings, that will get better with practice. Youll have it memorized with time, and it will flow naturally ;) . As far as keepers is concerned, I just don't fly without it. I think it's that good. Numerous features. It's a must for me flying online. You can still use fspassengers with it just make sure only one is set up to report your pirep. I have four pay ware acft, pmdg 747,737, Leonardo md82, and the majestic q400. I mainly use the ngx, then the q400 for short trips. Waiting for the pro version of the q400 to start the shared cockpit. I use active sky next for weather and REX for texture. All the add ons I use is why I have a lot of ctds in FSX :lol: . Too much for my limited system that's held together with bubble gum and tape. Be getting new computer in a few months so I'll make do till then. The other add ons I use offline : fspassengers, fscaptain, multicrew, and radar contact.
