You did really nothing? Or nothing with FSX? Maybe tuning CPU…?
Tom

I messed about the setting for graphics but didn't think that would cause this if its that ?

AND LIMITED THE FRAMES TO 30 THROUGH INVIDIA INSPECTOR to get better graphics smoother ?

but i have no idea what the above fault means nor how to fix / correct it.

thanks for fast reply

It complains a lot about files and paths, a disk check might be an idea too. Just run some diagnostic tools. Also look inside the pc for any signs of trouble. See if all the capacitors on the graphics card and around the cpu are still looking OK. Just some suggestions...

Is it possible to restore everything to it's old settings?

Ah another tinkerer! Someone once said if it isn't broken don't fix it. Those of us with FSX just can't help it. If there's a way to try and improve it were compelled to try, just our nature. 1st rule of thumb : if it was working fine before you tried to tweak it set it back to where it was. So I agree with the restore option. Also make sure your programs have full permissions. Just a suggestion , I find it better to install FSX outside of the programs file. IE (C:/ FSX ). You should browse for venetubos tweak for FSX .

Cheers

I have reinstalled everything and installed one at a time i think it was the cfg file.

id messed with it and added some tweeks to it but it was working fine at first seems to be ok now. will only know after i fly somewhere.

Always backup your config file before you tweak. That way it's easier to set it back to where it was before it messed up without reinstalling everything. Just another tip and one I had to learn the hard way myself! ;)

Cheers

just BU everything before any changing. I use ACRONIS backup, this works pretty well. I run FSX from an extra disk so I backup the system and the FSX disk before any new installation or new setup.

Wow that sounds VERY secure.

Yes, we're all very attached to our fine tuned set-up. I document every successful tweak and change like aircraft merges etc. in small txt files.
