Hi,
we received a post from one of the founders of VATROUTE, that the website and the service will go offline with Dec31, 2017.

Pilots, who planned their routes with this service should look for an alternative planning-tool in time.

Regards

For those looking for a new planning tool, I can recommend - it's a bit more work, but the planning is much more detailed, and the flight plan received is quite rich (including fuel planning, alternates, ETOPS, step climbs, etc.). If you already have a Navigraph subscription, you can use it to unlock the most recent AIRAC data in SimBrief - otherwise you can only validate your plan against an older version.

If you want to keep it simple, might be your friend - at least it helps planning a valid route from A to B, but it doesn't offer more sophisticated features such as VNAV planning, fuel or procedures. For airports in the US however, it provides current SID, STAR and IAP charts.
