As you all know, the new VATSIM Voice System is coming alive and i am very thrilled about that. It will bring us to a top notch system and even more realistic (if you know real flight communications). However, to embed the new voice system, VATSIM Network needs to have a temporary shut down. Furthermore, ALL(!) clients connecting to VATSIM network need an update to install the new voice functionality.
On Sunday, October 13th (what a date selection), 2000utc, the network will shut down.
During this time, no login is possible, open lines will be cut. The shut down time will take up to 24 hours.
The network will be online again on Monday, October 14th.
