Aircraft overspeeding due to rapid wind direction changes...

Hey guys...
I'm using FSX sp2 and Active Sky X...
When I'm flying PMDG 737 NGX I'm often faced with the mentioned situation especially during my climb to cruise level. For example, I have strong tail wind and then in one moment the wind direction changes dramaticaly (for example the wind goes from 28 knots tail to 35 knots head wind) and because of that my plane is now in overspeed... I usually react fast and deploy spoilers but still FSPassengers X registers that and I get very bad reviews and negative points...
I'm wondering if anybody else experienced this kind of situation and if there is any advice how to avoid the problem (i.e. are there any settings in Active Sky X that I can change, since I guess that this program is the source of these problems of mine)?

Milan,
I am sure you can do something against it. Peter Schindler did it for me and I found a hint in the AS manual. I want to give this question to Peter Schindler, he changed something in the FSUIPC wind menue. Damned I cannot remember. But it works I never have this problems.

Try this: open FSUIPC go to Wind, there you find "Wind Smoothing",
check "smooth changes near aircraft.......",
check "smooth only when airborne", the rest uncheck
In the column: With changes limited .....per second = 2
In the column: Or this many....degree change = 0
In the column: Weather read interval factor = 2

This is what Peter told me as a stupid xplane user - give it a try.
Cheers Tom

Re: Aircraft overspeeding due to rapid wind direction change

Hey Tom, thanks... I did the changes and I'll see if those make a difference tonight when I do a flight. But seeing what those options do I am certain that it will help. I just didn't know there is that option in FSUIPC :D
Thanks again, you seem to be one of the most helpful guys around here :)
Cheers!

I would rather say Zeljko is the man of the year - you cannot imagine how many questions I have coming from XP to FSX just for planes like NGX or MADDOG - just now I am struggling with my new purchase the MADDOG - and I already sent SOS messages :)
Cheers Tom

Lol yeah, Zeljko seems to be very helpful too :)
How is that Maddog? That's 737 correct? Is it that much better than NGX that it compensates outdated graphics?

P.S. That FSUIPC trick seems to work. I am flying currently and no sudden wind changes happened yet! :)
