Hi all,

any question. Wif wich freeware software its possible to open the pmdg ngx paint file ?
Any ideas ?

If you're looking for freeware to open PSD files, Gimp might do that...

Not sure about the DDS format (which is the format required by FSX). Dunno if Gimp handles that.

Hi, I work with .psd(Photoshop) paintkits in Gimp without problems. If you've never worked with Gimp you might face quite a learning curve. Not everything in Gimp is intuitive. Like drawing circles with the selection tool instead of a circle tool etc.

I run Gimp 2.6.11 as admin in win7, otherwise it regularly crashes. I don't know about this newest release(the one with docked windows) it might be better, I still have to test it.

Don't select Gimp as the default editor in DXTbmp because it won't save the changes afterwards. I first save lightmaps, edit them in gimp and then re-import them in DXTbmp.

You can always convert them with DXTbmp(free).
