Problems with the Embraer 190 repaint? Here's the solution!

If you're like me, you installed the repaint for this plane, followed the instructions, and found that the original texture you had based this off of was still there. What do you do to fix this? Here's the answer, step by step.

1. If you called your folder "texture.ach" versus "texture.ACH" this makes a difference. Make sure those last three letters appear the same in the aircraft.cfg as in the folder name (texture section of what you set up earlier in that file)
2. Download and install DXTbmp here (check bottom of site)
This will let you manipulate the repaint, which you will have to do.
3.Go to the repaint in your Embraer 190's folder and notice the thumbnails that you dropped in there (wing_t.bmp, tail_t.bmp) near these thumbnails is a .dds file with the same name. These are the actual parts that make of the repaint.
4. Open Dxtbmp and drag and drop one of these files into the program.
5. Click File > Browse for Images, and find the image you had dropped in to the folder, double click it.
What you are doing is replacing each paint that was there with your new Air-Child paint.
6. Click Image > Flip Image and Alpha, then File > Save As > DDS Texture
7. Click Save and then Yes to overwrite
8. Do this for each bmp you overwrote when installing the texture.
When you are done, open your flightsim and you should see your new Air Child repaint!
Sorry for the long post, hope this works for you!
