New italian airport near Rome

Hallo,

LIRA is a small airport used for national flight in Italy, which is located a few miles east of Fuimicino.

Some guys have made a really nice scenery for the FS 2004 of this airport called Ciampino.

Yes, I picked this one up at Flightsim.com last weekend. It's a nice scenery. I also found LIMF, probably from the same makers. There were a lot of Dorniers parked there from WOAI. I especially like the row of houses next to the runway.

They're probably good at making LODS because the scenery did run quite smoothly on my slow system.

Need help. I downloaded this scenery cause I like a lot to fly to CIA. I installed it on my FS9, and I got problem. I've experienced strange hidden objects. I was parking my Airbus on gate 109 and I couldn't park, cause something was standing on my way. When I want to start flight from the same spot on pushback I experienced a crash with non seen biulding. When I was trying to start direct from runway I hit on something on the runway. Runway was clear. Does anyone uses this scenery and has some similar accidents.

I had a thorough look at this scenery. There's indeed an invisible building near gate 109 and it's not autogen. I tried to exclude it but then all buildings disappear, excluding only the patch near gate 109 doesn't work. :S

The runway is a completely different case. It's a macadam surface(also in the default LIRA) which causes a turboprop like the ATR to go hopping up and down and crash before taking off. I could easily change this by opening it in AFCAD and changing it to asphalt. After this the ATR took off without problems. I don't think real ATRs react like this on macadam, only when it's full of potholes. :lol:

If you don't know how to change the runway in AFCAD please say so and I'll send you my AFCAD file of LIRA.

I made a post about this on the developer's site. Maybe they can correct it. I hope they will because there are already a lot of beautiful sceneries around which are unusable because of small problems like this.

I've manage to change the macadan to asphalt too and 737 took off from the runway without porblems

It is difficult to say, if the same problem occurs on my FS, because I have disabled the crash detection...

Have you checked, if there are more than 1 AFCAD is active? Just simple search after the ICAO Code in your FS Main Folder and disable older AFCADS by adding a ".old " at the end of their file name....(so you can activate them later if necessary)
