The destination, we fly to hast to start with the same letter the last airport ended...

Wow, from Athens to Sarajevo...

Before someone suggested Sarajevo I have never thought about to fly to this airport - I really don't know why..

One more reason to look forward to this event...

I hope, that somebody can arrange ATC Service :)

I'm very happy with the destination choice :)
I'll try to arrange fully staffed Sarajevo (app/twr/gnd) but at the very least you can expect Zagreb radar for enroute service over Bosnia-Herzegovina and Sarajevo Approach.
I know the date is Sat, 3rd November, but can we confirm the time, the estimated departure time from Athens?

Since no one requested otherwise we should leave the departure time at 1300z, just like last month's flights. But please remember that for most of Europe that's now 1 hour earlier because DST ended last week. USA will switch this Sunday, so for them it should be the usual time.
Maybe next month we'll change the departure to 1 hour later if everyone is ok with that.

See you there guys :) If you have any special approach requests for non-precision approaches, visuals, non-published staight-in for rwy 30 or anything you want to experiment with: feel free to file them in your flight plans or just advise on the frequency. Otherwise due to the typically bad weather and low vis ibility this season you can expect vectors for rwy 12, so coming from Athens you'll get long downwind east of the field, base at around 16 DME and a closing vector for a standard 13nm final. Short approaches with base, visual descent and final from KG NDB (5-6nm) are also possible depending on visiblity and pilot preferences, just advise.

The route looks good, although in the real world it would not be used, because it crosses the restricted airspace of Kosovo. But for Vatsim it won't matter :) When you plan your descents, arrange to cross KEB at FL100. If you're higher - expect vectors for delay or vectoring on a longer track from the west.
 
Hi the scenery for Sarajewo looks very nice look forward to fly in group again will take Avro rj 85 for spin.I'll see you in the air Petr :yes:

Tom is approaching now, don't know what happened to the rest: initially there were 3 a/c in the air, 2 more on the ground at Athens but they gradually disappeared from the scopes soon after departure and it looks like it's just the 2 of you.
 
Once again, I'm very sorry 'bout that - but some times real life comes first .... maybe next time

No problem Oliver, but you should introduce your kids to the joys of flight simulation so that you can fly together ;) Thanks to the guys who flew-in and cya in a month for the fly-out :)
 
Hi yeah you are right I had to stop before I could even taxing . Well download scenery for Sarajewo nice then purchase LGAV very very nice, but lately I ghad a bit of issue with QW avro 85 so few reinstall back and forward . So might fsinn start playing around a bit 2 days ago so reinstall needed. Well I load fsx parking at LGAV looking at EFB and bunch of controllers in there but couldnt log to their frequency just Unicomm . So I spent 1 hour loging in and out of watsim just to try different setting and then give up . Sorry about that I am very disapointed to . :wall:
