I've bought it and it is AMAZING. Many say it is even above PMDG standard! I've made couple of flights already and haven't found any glitch. Looking forward to the Pro version with shared cockpit capabilities.
Looks like one of the best add ons for FS currently available. Can recommend to anyone looking for nice regional prop plane.
 
He is absolutly amazing, really great Frames and a superb System Deep....if is possible that any of you can paint this Bird in the Air Child Livery?
 
Yes it is an amazing bird. But it has it's downside. The intern FDE of the Dash does not properly work with ACARS systems like Flight Keeper or FS Passengers. You cannot connect a lot of buttons, switches etc. to hardware like Saitek Panels or VRINSIGHT, you cannot use touch screens as usual, you cannot use AES or GSX - ACCU FEEL and OPUS Dynamik movements are not usable. Yes, this is a new approach not to use the FSX intern flight dynamics but it has it's costs. About the buttons and switches this is really not a good idea to force users back to the computer mouse to operate the plane. There are many possibillities meanwhile for other modern interfaces then a computer mouse, which are cool for such a modern approach to an old piece of software like FSX.
Not sure if this plane find the way in the fleet soon. But meanwhile you can use it instead the other Dash or ATR72 of Air-Child. You are the pilot, the master of the game. and of course if the ATR72 is not available or is in repair Air-Child is very happy if you get another plane to fulfill your flights.

My GSX stopped working even with other planes after MJC8 has been installed. Anyone else experiencing the same with GSX or other add ons?

@Jan, my GSX is working as usual with other planes. The other addons OPUS, ACUFEEL2 (ACCUFEEL of course without bouncing just for the sound - actually not so important - maybe I put it out soon :)

False alarm on my side, sorry. GSX works with other planes too, except for LSH Maddog. Other add ons seem to be working as well.

About the pirep of a DASH8 flight from LSZA to LSZB with Flight Keeper. Flight Keeper is not able to read the Majestic Dash8, please see:

I just get it, amazing plane! Still setting and testing, but i like it very much. I have a feeling this year will be a world tour in Q400 for me... Transatlantic flights with Q400 :lol:

About flight critique, we can disable all criticts in FSFK CFG file, so only flight info and time will be displayed. I saw in forums today, that you can use some ACARS with Majestic Q400, just check their forums

Zeljko, I disabled the flight critis in the FK prefs - but I got it anyway?

Tom, I didn't tried yet, it was just a idea :lol:

I'll try now, if that not working - i think we can uncheck "Show Flight Critique" here in ACH - in "my profile" settings, right?

Yes, I think if we disable it both it should work. But there are other problems FK disconnects after landing before the engines are off. Try it and see what happens.

I didn't tried yet, but i think i will fly tonight Q400 and check this things. That happens becouse FSFK can't detect Majestic engines. I remember that i saw on Majestic forums this - After you started engines, press CTRL+E. This will tell FSFK that engines are started, and FSFK will not disconect after landing becouse aircraft is on the ground and engines off. Maybe we need to press default shut fown key combination after we turn off the engines for FSFK to disconect. I'll see that later, we need to "improvise" becouse this is a new and completely different tehnology with majestic.

Or we can set different options in FSFK options, to disconect on different events after landing, not engine off. Need more time to investigate :)

I did not have such problems with FS Kepper since I got the Majestic. I already loged a few flights with it "under" an ATR profile. I couldn't tell why though :no:

I've thought it is somehow connected with the buttons problems, anyway...
Not really nice, but quite good landing in Greenland considering all the troubles I had with the A330 -:)

That is interesting, you are the only one who don't have problems with new Majestic and FSFK or other reporting tool. Are you sure that you have the latest Q400 and not an earlier version - Q300 from majestic?

FSFK and many ACARS applications can't read data from Q400 becouse this plane is using simconnect and that reporting applications use FSUIPC. I'm sure that will be solved after majestic release SDK

Well like I said, it works as I can send my pireps. Look at them, I'm ACH0468. Other than that, I'm not reading and analysing the data and observations of my flight. Maybe it's all silly and that is the problem you are complaining about. So all I can say is that I send pireps of my flights under the ATR profile but use the just released Dash8 400. My end of flight trigger is engines off and parking brake on.
