I came across this on the Vatsim UK site earlier, and after a quick forum search (yielding nothing on the ACH forums), I thought I'd share this here.
When:
2013-08-31 :: 09:00-21:00z

That's the following weekend at time of writing
This is what they say:
"On the weekend of 31st August and 1st September, VATSIM-UK is holding their annual Live! event. From 10am to 10pm on both days we have arranged a venue for you to bring a laptop or desktop along to control and/or fly at the same location as many of your fellow members.
The venue we have chosen is Aston Business School in Birmingham. Located in the city centre, it is a great central location with major road, rail and air connections.
We'll be focusing ATC services at some major and not so major airports during the event. If you are not able to attend then please fly - everyone will appreciate the traffic - we're sure it will be a great fun for all!"

I figure it might be appropriate to include a line to their site, so here it is

I know there's the world tour and all going on, but it would be cool if we could perhaps squeeze some time out to burn a few holes in UK airspace
