Question about number of passengers

Hi, I was wondering lately about the suggested number of passengers when I plan a charter flight. Is this what I think it is; a random number that suggests 60-70% of the max number of passengers for the type? Or is there more behind this? It might be distance, that's easy to implement.

Programs like FSPassengers claim to fill your aircraft based on airline and destination popularity. I'm not disappointed if that's not the case here. I'm just curious if there's anything behind these numbers.

Hello Barthe,

it's only a rendom number.

Ah, another mystery solved. Still better than always the same number. It makes loading the plane more interesting.

Sometimes I change this number because I know a popular regional flight in the USA in the evening is probably stuffed. A flight to a hardly know airport in Europe in the early hours would probably be empty so I load some lucky platform personnel.

I've been thinking how you could make a more realistic number. But it would involve giving all reasonable size airports a popularity grade. That would be a lot of work and a lot of extra calculating for the site.

Thanks.
