Passenger and baggage weights wrong in ACH briefing

Hello dear friends,

I now use PFPX for my planning and I saw the passenger and baggage weight proposed by ACH ar wrong vs real life rules.
In all flight, ACH considers 80kg per pax and 25 kg baggage per pax.

Here are the right data:
Scheduled flights:
Adult: 84kg
Chidren: 35kg
Infant: 0 kg

Charter flights (Non scheduled)
Adult: 76 kg
Children: 35 kg
Infant: 0kg

Baggage per pax:
Domestic flight (Dom): 11kg
International flight (Int): 13 kg
Long range flight (L/R): 15 kg (L/R is longer than 2500 nm)

Could you please correct these values which allow us to get more accurate flight plans?

Thanks a lot in advance

Cheers
Pierre ;)

Hello Dear Norbert,

No problem, It is a vital thing.
Thanks a lot

All the best

Thank's to Pierre for the template, I will add some question my self, is not only payload is also the fuel that I don't get.
Archild dispatch is really generous with fuel, you can land with more then 5K LBS on some flight, where reserve was 2.1, I don't get the same value on PFPX actually is always on reserve no matter if I use Euro or Usa or icao rule.
On PFPX forum I start a thread where Christian Grill advice how to change bias, but is not so easy for me.
I am curious that 's all, how do you calculate fuel for airchild dispatch ?
Start your Flight Simulator
Set up a stabilized cruise flight at a normal cruise altitude
Enter Winds, Temperature, Speed, Weight, Fuel burn from your Flight Simulator in the PFPX 'Evaluation' window
A new 'Bias' value is calculated and can be used for further planning
Thank's

Hello Fabrizio,

First, I never use fuel given by AirChild dispatch because It doesn't take into account in flight WX.
The ACH dispatch is using an obsolete planner named F.O.C which was in its time a good and reliable one, but it is another story.

What I do to calculate fuel with PFPX is using fuel bias, but not following the Christian's tip.
I made several flight and adjusted the bias after each, until I Got a good value.
For now my settings are:
CLIMB: 106.0%
CRUISE: 107.0%
DESCENT: 106.0%

Hope this help

For flights with the T7 and PFPX I usually do the following (mostly under European rules):

- Plan my route with PFPX and compute the flight plan
- Take note of the value that should go in the reserves box of the FMC. I use the sum of the ALTN + FINAL RESV values on the Flight Plan, rounded up.
- Compare that number to the planned fuel remaining on landing at the destination. Usually, the planned remaining fuel is about 500kg more than what I should put in the reserve box at this stage. However, I like to have a value around 1000kg more than the reserve, so at that stage I go back to the flight planning and add the amount of fuel needed in the "extra fuel" field, so that I have 1000kg more on landing than the reserves value. Usually that varies from 500kg to 700kg.
- Compute again and release if proved satisfying.

Not sure if that is entirely correct though. I might have a look at the bias values posted above.

Hi Mathieu,

This might be a good way to get good results.

Thanks for sharing

Best regards

Hello,
maybe I will follow this discussion a bit. I talked to Peter, not to Norbert yet (maybe he will read it now) that it could be an option for the future that we can change freely the fuel quantity in the Air-Child flightplan. In the moment we can only add fuel!
Maybe it could be possible to do the same with the passenger and passenger luggage weight - so that it can match with our actual flight model. But to be honest, that is not so important as we can add or subtract kg in our Dispatch / Flightplan - or we add or subtract kg in our actual plane, so in the end it will match exactly.
I wait for Norberts opinion.
Cheers Tom

ps. again I advice to check out

Hello Captains,

I really think that dispatch system actually in use will change soon (in accordance with staff availability)
Today, tools as PFPX or Simbrief, virtual airline dispatch is being change.
The real accuracy of these systems allow VA to rebuild their planning politic.

So i think Airchild will be one of the first VA to use soon those new tools and their infinite possibilities.

Cheers
Pierre
