ACH-FSE: airports

FS Economy uses the database from FS2004 for the airports, the original without any updates. This means users of FSX, X-Plane 9 and X-Plane 10 can have some problems: missing airports, different ICAO-codes, etc. When we prepare our flight briefing we can also find the same problems at our airports databases.

To correct this problems step by step we've decided with Peter to update our ACH-databases where needed.

An example: the "small" airport of "C Faa H R Borden" in Argentina has the ICAO-code "SA1B" in FSE, but I couldn't find it in X-Plane 10 nor in the standard airport databases. Looking for the name of the airport I could find it with the ICAO-code "SAVJ". But, this airport is missing with both ICAO-codes in our Air Child airport databases. We must update the data for this airport.

Because the location of the airports in FSE is defined by latitude/longitude and not by the ICAO-code, we could change or use any ICAO-code so long the latitude/longitude coordinates are correct. In this case we can use the correct/current ICAO-code: "SAVJ".

Of course, in our own Air Child airports databases we shall always use the correct/current ICAO-codes.

This problem doesn't occur only in South America, but in the whole world. Every ACH-FSE pilot can get it.
When you get this, missing airports, wrong/different ICAO-codes or similar problems, please send Ricardo a PM with the information (Remen in FSE, Ricardo or ACH0422 in Air Child). Thanks in advance.

Hello.

Just a little question.
If I want to fly a long haul with the Dash 7-100, can I do that in many days?, I am planning to fly a flight from SANT-EFHS and take assignment on my way.

is it possible?? :)

I think it must be possible. There is only one problem: . How do you want to land with a Dash 7-100 there?
Anyway, you have to do it as many flights, taking assignments on your way.
And... be careful when you cross the Atlantic...

EDIT: EFHS is unknown in FS Economy and in our Air Child airports databases !!!

It's a nice challenge, and you can do it.

The map: [imgpop]http://www.remen.nl/ACH/ACH-FSEatlantic01.jpg[/imgpop]
But you can't do it with a Dash 7-100 (max. range: 690 nm). Look at the specs:

With an Embraer you can do it. See the specs:

or with a Falcon 7X, see the specs:

You have another, much better option: fly with a Boeing 737, labeled as "Boeing 377" for FS Economy.
In this case you can transport more passengers (73 or something like that) and much more cargo (more than 10.000 kg). Cruise speed: 301 mph (483 km/h). Range: 4,200 mi (3,650 nmi, 6,760 km).

This is my B737 (X-Plane):

Never done myself but according to the FSE website you have to edit the "title " attribute inside the aircraft.cfg file for yor plane, and change it to match one of the approved titles in this list:

you can see the procedure here

Anders,

It sounds "difficult" but actually is it very simple.

Step 1: Choose your Client for FS Economy (I am using X-Plane...)
Client01.jpg

Step 2: You see 2 options. Take "Set aircraft alias".
Client02.jpg

Step 3: Type (exactly) the name of the FS Economy aircraft you are going to use. For now "Boeing 377".
Client03.jpg

Step 4: FLY!!! From now on your own aircraft will be seen as a Boeing 377 at FS Economy.

EDIT: a tip: read the documentation from this forum at least ONCE. Every answer is there. ;)

Carlo, the correct list is this one: " ". Take the config names but NOT the "*".

x-plane and fs9 seems to be 2 different types of things, so its 100 % different here,

But, I figured it out, and tested it now, and working very good,

Actually using my B737-300 for the flights for the B377, so now its going to be some flights with a good aircraft finally :)

Of course, Anders, every computer configuration, every Flight Simulator is different. We, you and I, are also different. But... every computer is based on the same principles, just like every FS. And you and I have, probably the same principles and norms. I mean, do not let that the trees make the forest trouble or invisible...
