Incorrect flight number (Fspax question)

Users Local time
Just finished a charter flight from Amsterdam to Dubai (6:26 block time).
Unfortunately, I entered the wrong number for the trip in Fspax (and vatsim as well) - 7407 instead of 7412.
Is there any possibility to change this number directly in the Fspax configs, or by changes in the original booking on the website (ACH7412 Aircraft: VH-KDO / B757-200 the new should be ACH7407, Captain the same - foolish Tomasz :) ) ?
Thank you in advance for any help.

p.s. To be honest I care the most valuable points for children and not on those few hours of flight.

Think the only way to be able to enter the flight, is if Peter edits the flight number in your booking, to match the flight number you entered into fspassenger.

Have you thought about trying fs flight keeper? Great program in my opinion. Shows you on the air-child live map, lets you edit your flight number after landing if you enter it incorrectly, and shows a pretty little picture on your flight reports.

You would think I was on commission for flight keeper i recommend the program so much

edit:
You can get a discount on flight keeper via this thread..

Thank you for the reply Andrew. Yes, this option sounds nice. Of course if Peter can edit my booking ;)

I use FSFK regularly when I'm flying for www.lotva.org (just check pilots/pireps :) )

Thank you very much Peter. Something has to be the magic with this number.
You typed 7404 instead of the correct 7407

Tomasz

Why "sorry" Peter ? - in the end it's my fault. Thank you !

Finaly after 3 days in the air the passengers can land safely

Took a while, but it's done now ;) So, you should be able to report that flight now, Tomasz. Tell me, if something goes wrong.

Not quite .... :S
Your problem is more complicated than Tomasz's case from the original post. His was a charter flight, yours is a regular flight from the schedule. When a scheduled flight is reported, some data is taken from our flights, routes and performance databases. That's the reason for the differences with your original FSP protocol. Since you can not change the flight number in FSP (really a bad thing, imo) you can only report that "wrong" flight. That's different for a charter flight because, there, all the route data is stored within the booking, not the schedule.
What makes me wonder, though, is that your report was accepted at all. Normally, if you book flight 6305 and you try to report flight 6035, it should be denied. So, if there was no booking for 6035, something must be wrong. I'll try to verify this.
However, I'm afraid I can not correct your data, so you'll have to live with the flight that's been reported

OK I underestand. I've already reported that flight. I've noticed that something might be wrong when I was looking for another flight with g-vapa knowing that airplane is in EPWA cause I've just finished a fly minute or two ago (yesterday of course). I was surprised a bit when I saw that E190 is in ESSA. Then I started to look at report in FSPax and pireps. and I saw that my flight number is 6035 not 6305. Next I saw that I made a fly ACH6035 with ATR somewhere from England to EPWA

I haven't book 6035 for ATR if it's really scheduled for ATR. I still have booked flight 6305 from ESSA TO EPWA. This was first thing I saw when I entered the booking system after finished and reported and give me start to thinking that something might be wrong. There was no error message. 1 flight exported succssesfully that's all.

OK I can live with it ;) I will charter some airplane to get to LOWW and send you a bill ;)

Yes, it was "somewhere from Ireland" (Dublin), actually ;)

Ok, thank you. In that case I will have to look if there's a problem with the routine that checks the bookings and flight numbers.

That's alright. I'll hand it over to the insurance ;)

Peter or Norbert Heeelp

I've just finished my charter flight from kmci to kewr and .... I'm not able to report it. I've mistyped flight number. In FSP I typed 7818, and booker flight number is 7817. When I try to report it. there is a message:

"AIR-CHILD/Rafal Zielinski selected
129 total flight, 1 flights marked as not exported. Ready to export...

-Exporting of 1 Flights started:
-Error, unable to export flight number 129 ->Error - Sorry, no booking could be found for this flight.

1 flights could not be exported."

Can someone change it or I have to fly this once more greetings.

Help is on the way... Although your booking for 7817 was gone, I restored a backup record and changed the flight number to 7818. Please try again 8)

Sorry for pulling this thread up, but I sadly don´t know how I can set my flight number before an FS Pax-flight. I used FSAcars before and I tried XAcars, but I ain´t satisfied with both of them.
I´ve got FS Passengers X and I am happy with it. Of course it would be more comfortable to use FSPax to report the flights to Air-Child.
My problem is, that I don´t know how to set the flight number of my booked flight before the flight. Could you please help me in that regard?

Greetings,
Jonas

Edit:
Sorry for bothering you, I found it...

Hi Jonas,

I don't use fs passengers anymore, but i find this tutorial for you:

p.s. You must go to pilot's lounge/my profile/personal files, and download configuration file for fs passengers - and use that file instead VaFsPassengers.cfg from this tutorial.

Cheers

Zeljko

Hi Zeljko,

like I said, I found a solution, actually the same tutorial as yours! However, thank you very much, for the quick help! :)
My only problem was to find out how to set the Flight ID for every flight, not to insert the config file into the root folder. I just couldn´t transfer the finished flight to the air-child because of the wrong Flight ID. But now I´m happy to be able to throw FSAcars and XAcars into the bin.
So again, thanks a lot, Zeljko!

In tutorial, in "Section #6 - Starting your Flight", you have everyting about how to set your flight, including how to "set flight ID", you must do this on every flight.
Just copy air-child flight number from your booked airchild flight: .

Hi Zeljko,
I think you misunderstood me. ;) I actually found out yet how to set up flights @ FSPax and finished two of them today. :)
But nevertheless, thanks a lot!
