Hello all,

Thanks to Mr. Drew Williams, I am now a member of this community. I wanted to give a shout out to Drew and the rest of you virtual jet jockeys :)

I intend to get some of my aircraft repainted with the air-child livery and get into the skies this weekend.

Happy flying!
Joe

Welcome Joe, good to see you here :)

I'm sure you already know a few people here (That alcoholic Peter for instance (Eazy) )

Get flying, and earn us some money for the kiddies

I'll see what I can get accomplished between now and tomorrow :)

By the way, Peter didn't share any of his beers during any WT flights, so I'm still mad at him

Up, up and away!

t'was about time......
:p
Welcome, Joe! Glad to see you finally made it to the "best VA in town" :)
Although Drew told you to get flying, he forgot to mention one thing: new pilots always have to do some ground duties before they're allowed to fly ;) We could need a CS 757 repaint. I know you fly that bird. And you have photoshop. , so go and get some work done

ps: I have absolutely no idea what al-ka-holic Mr. Williams is talking about. I don't even know how to spell that word.....
:pop:

Err, Peter, you mistaken me for someone who knows how to do a freak'n repaint :? Give me a screenshot and I can doctor it up nicely in PS, but use a repaint kit?? Forget it :( I may be an air-child ground handler for quite some time

Joe, simply follow the repaint tutorial........ that Peter planned to make around 4 months ago and still not got around to

CS repaint you say? I never want to do another CS repaint after doing the C-130

Joe, this is THE chance to finally learn something new! ;) Though I know that learning new things is not easy, at our age ..... but you can take your time ... even until next year, if necessary :p

Hu? It was just the idea that someone should write a tutorial, some day

I know you guys are going to try and "goat rope" (Sorry, speaking US Southernese here  ) me into repainting an aircraft, but if you want it to look like something that came out of a mutilated coloring book, you've got the right person  . Want a more professional job? Solicit the help of a seasoned aircraft painter ;) I'd vote for the latter!

Now, onward and upward...thanks for the warm welcome :)

How did you know? That's just what I had in mind

btw: the ATR VC is blue because I've packaged my own texture folder and use blue cockpit ever since I installed it. Never liked the ugly brown :p Didn't think of you "trads", though I remember you said you've flown the 42 for real. I might, however, include some instructions for changing the VC textures.

LOL Peter...never mind about the blue cockpit. I was able to change it to the brown VC via the ATR configurator. Had to change it to blue and then to brown a couple of times through the configurator before it actually showed brown. I've not ever been in an ATR cockpit that was blue anyway ;)
