Not sure if this is right, but is seems to have a few weird waypoints after the aiport.

That is the same chart I used for my flight, but I landed rw34R, so had to turn off the above route at PRAWN.
I thought the flight plan should just be '.....WHALE...PRAWN...YSSY' without the extra waypoints.

Andrew an flight plan should always end at the arrival point. In this case MARLN. You can add something like this: MARLN.MARLN8, but ATC will know what to do without arrival designation, therefore it is not necessary Some of the airports (especially U.S.) have very extensive arrival procedures and you would have to add more points than the entire flight plan That's why you add only MARLN and the rest is rhetoric.
