The Formula 1 season is not far away now. The first testing session starts Monday, and the manufactures are unveiling their latest cars for the 2010 season. So today is the day I unveil the Air-Child contender.

I actually made this livery end of last year, but waited till F1 season was upon us to post the images :D

As the livery has nothing really to do with 'air-child', I'll not upload it to the hangar, but if anyone wants to use it (For FSX or FS9 PMDG MD-11F) drop me a pm and I'll send a link to it :)

Very nice colours, especially the real-life A346 looks even more impressive !
The paint fits the MD-11 quite perfect as well :)

This is one of the tastiest yet most tasteful textures I've ever seen! I love it Andrew! :D

For FS9 you say?? :? Sounds good to me!

Hi Andrew,

just noticed that the FS9-version is very very reflective.
Will try to add one of my alpha-channels I used for my paintings and send it back to you in case it works :)

with FSX settings it looks like a flying F1 mirror in FS2004 :D
Expect it by tomorrow at the latest :)

You are indeed correct. For the fs9 repaints, I use a different alpha to the fsx.

I will correct it with the normal fs9 alpha shortly, and upload again for you to test :D
 
Updated the alpha to match the other FS9 repaints (I notice the santa one isn't updated so I guess that one is still like a mirror)

Also there were 2 extra files in the fs9 pack that needed removing
PMDG_MD11_Fuse_Left_LM
PMDG_MD11_Fuse_Right_LM

Which I have done in the upload.

Mario & Luis, if you re-download from the link I gave in pm, just delete the ach-f1 folder and start over with the install. :)

James, I will PM you a link to the download.

Hopefully it will work now :hi:

i tested the paint, and yes it was very reflctive but at the time a couldnt come to the forum to notice that so in settings I just took off reflective from airplane...

But now it's just perfect and let me tell you Andrew it's one the most great paint I ever saw

Norbert, unfortunately I have no free time at the minute and in the near future to turn it into a 747 repaint, but maybe in a couple of months :up:
 
Genno, I don't have the time to make the repaint for the 747 right now. Will be a couple of months at least before I may be able to do it for the 747. Until then it will have to be exclusive to MD-11 flyers.
