Hello there fellow pilots,

finally I got myself to join you, so this is my chance to say hello to you all and do a short intoduction :)

Well, I've done fsimming for quite a while now, but never joined a VA before (so I'm not that experienced  ), it was your concept that really convinced me to join you. I think you've done a great work here and I also like the whole idea behind AC. My actual favourite is the F100 ( ), which I might add a new livery, that I'm working on (but be patient). ..of to do some planning.
Thanks letting me join and I'm looking forward to fly with you :hi:

So, see you out there

Steve

Welcome!

I also like F100, but in version 1 for XPL. Unfortunately until my hom cockpit is not finished i'm not able to simulate all functions on board, more basic version fits better into not finished cockpit.

Thanks very much Szymon for the Welcome,

I'd love to have a glance at you HC  mine's quite - hmm.. how should i put it - basic :p so there's nothing to fit... yet :)

happy landings..
Steve

Step by step, small one after small one, or You will get bancrupt :)

Mine HC just blown up partially, second monitor (instrument panel) has burned. Currently i'm working on restart of mine 3rd monitor. Luckly got spare parts. There was idea to have 3 monitors to outside view and 2 small for instrument panel, but with small steps: i had working 2 monitors, one for view and one for instruments with 3 monitors waiting for computer upgrade. Now it will be second monitor only for instrument panel and 2 waiting for build into HC and comp upgrade. Currently my plans developed from 3x21" wide LCD into single 52" LED tv as main view screen and 2 small 12,5" LCD for instrument panel that will be build into desk.
Photos are in gallery (flight sim > HC > building) on my site www.sp-xun.cba.pl
Small LCDs will be mounted in front from yoke under shelf with monitors. Left monitor is main view, middle was (but burned) for instrument panel, now only left and right left, right is unknown - need signal cable to test it, but should work.

We will see after some time, but school first, then need to finish new bicycle, then will get some work on comp, or will get back to my mandalorian armor project for 501st legion (Star Wars thingy)

Hello Stephen, welcome to Air-Child. Nice that we are your first VA. I hope you will find what you are looking for and Air-Child will be your "virtual" home.

Best regards
Norbert

That is so very true ;)

Well, you put a lot of work in your cockpit already, what I could see from your pictures it looks quite complete to me. There is always something to add and to work on, I guess :D besides it's not the only project you're working on. I keep my fingers crossed for you..
btw something technical: how do you intend your upgrade of the video cards, are you using multi heads or multiple cards ?

Cheers Steve

Currently i have GF 8600 GTS, dualhead.
In future will get SLI motherboard for plugin another monitor(s).

Cockpit may look as finished, but it have no switches or radio displays... And look more like disabled aircraft during rebuild :)

More complete view is on last (11) 3d model in gallery in cockpit plans area. There You can see that all surfaces in front of yoke and in both sides will be closed, and on those closed surfaces i will mount LCDs for main glass cockpit display, FMC, radio console + some less important switches for power of all hardware, sound outputs etc. there will be also quite complete "mini" overhead with engine starters, lights control and other important most used switches.

This version is something between normal computer desk and fully operational cockpit.

Next cockpit will probably end as full airbus cockpit replica, and if i will have cash it will be mounted on motion platform. But before that i need 20k$ and new house with big garage :p
