Hi out there,
as the Twin Otter is in our hangar - does anybody has a ACH livery for the Aerosoft Twin Otter Extended?
Cheers Tom

Hi all,

I'm working on it :)
It's not complete yet!!

Because I'm learning repainting and I see some differences in other Air-Child repaints, I need your advice about:

  • 1. The size and position of the logos and text on the airplane
    2. Your overall opinion so far
Please be honest and tell me what I should change!

I still need to work on the windows, night lighting, reflections and so on.

Hereby a preview so far:

Happy flying ;)
Jacob.

Looks great, only thing I see that I would change maby not others is the name on the engine cover move a touch up and add exahust burn will look more real nothing is 100% clean in the real world

Hi it looks good. Maybe it would be more logical to place the long blue text beneath the cabin windows for a smaller plane. Like with this real-world example:

Is that the registration near the tail? I think it should be quite a bit bigger because it has to be readable from a distance. If the text is still in a separate layer it's a minute work.

You could consider making both a clean and a dirty version. Many repainters do that. Making realistic dirt is quite a challenge though.

I also do a lot of repainting. For me it really works to let things rest overnight. Then I look at it the next day and I immediately see what's good and what could be improved.

Hello all,

I'm sorry, but I had some computer problems and tomorrow I'll go on holiday for 3 weeks.
After that I will pickup the repaint as soon as possible.

Regards,
Jacob.

Working is in progress again :)

    2. Night Lightning and reflections

Any suggestions are welcome!
Happy flying ;)

Hi, Jacob. It looks very good.
Night Lightning and reflections
Well, the white part of the plane will of course reflect/shine a little more than the blue part. Don't overdo it; most planes on a platform don't look like polished Ferraris.
Windows and doors
I hope your paint-kit comes with a door and window decorations layer? You could add a little dirt under windows and doors but don't overdo it.

I always love those little stripes on propeller tips, I always do them on scale models too!

Hi pilots,

For those who want to fly with version 1.0 of the repaint here is a link:

I'm affraid the next version can take a little while...

Happy flying,
Jacob.
