Aircraft substitutes

Hey Pilots!

When I read here in the Forum that we can substitute the A319 (not in hangar) with the A320, I was curious if this works with other aircraft?

Because I am interested in the "Just Flight DC-8 10 to 40 series" I want to know if I can substitute it with the MD-80 for example?
Or there are too many differences between the two aircraft?

Thank you and Greetings!

Just compare it by yourself. If you are happy with the substitute ACH is happy to.
Cheers Tom

I use the specification list for aircraft in Wikipedia a lot for comparisons. You can look at length, weight, number of passengers, number of engines etc. Wikipedia also often comes up with a list of aircraft with comparable roles or comparable developments from other companies. It's not that difficult with recent aircraft because most manufacturers try to compete with a specific model from the competitor.
