Repaint Dash 7 Milton Shupe doesn't work

Hello all,

I have a little quetion. I've downloaded the DASH7 and the repaint from the internet (ACH Side). The plane works very well and is going to become my favorite airplane.

Unfortunately the Repaint from ACH doesn't work. After Inatllation the Plane manufactor is called DeHaviland 74a and there is no picture shown from this plane (only a black window). Then suddenly a short Errormessage pop up and then the Flusi shut down.

Unfortunately I cant read the error message.

Does anyone know a solution?

Oliver, I will look into this, since I'm the responsible for this paint ;)
There was a problem with a missing texture last year, but it should be fixed. Anyway, as soon as I'm at home, I will check if the download file is complete.
If the texture is not the problem, you will have to make sure that all the aircraft files are in the right place (including effects and gauges). btw: the "DeHavilland 74a" is how the developer wrote it in the aircraft.cfg, probably because it was a totally new version, compared to his older DHC7. You can change it in the aircraft.cfg, if you like.

Edit:
I just checked the texture download files. They are complete. There's 69 files in the texture.ach folder. The 2 texture folders which are installed with the model have 71 files, including 2 readme's you don't need in there.
If you installed the model from the download link on our site you should have 2 other textures, the Greenland Air (texture.gre) and the Tyrolean livery (texture.ty2). Please try to load one of these liveries and see if they also make FS crash. If so, there may be a problem with the aircraft installation, if not ...... :?: :hmm: :?:

I fly actual only with these two repaints (Tyrolean and Greenland) and they both work very well. But I will try to reinstall the complete Aircraft in both version (incl. the update) and give you an response later.

If the other liveries work fine, it can't possibly be a problem with the aircraft itself :wonder:
However, even while the ACH paint was missing one texture file (horizontal stabilizer), it still loaded fine in preview and also in FS for me. It only crashed once I switched to external view and the stabilizer came into view. After we included the stabilizer bitmap, I never had problems anymore.

Anyway, will take a closer look at it this weekend and also compare if the files in my FS are really the same as in the download.

Das ist nach der Neuinstallation wieder die Meldung (Link). Zu sehen ist auch, dass das Vorschaubild noch immer schwarz bleibt.

Das der Manufactor DeHavilang74a heisst, ist sicher nicht der Grund...

Ich weiss nicht recht, was es sein soll.

Vllt hast Du eine idee

hab auch einen kurzen Flug gemacht - keine Probleme. Bin da im Moment auch etwas ratlos.
Ich hab dir mal meinen Textur-Ordner und meine aircraft.cfg hochgeladen, genau so wie sie bei mir im FS/aircraft Ordner liegen. Schau mal, ob dir das weiter hilft...

Warum heisst das Verzeichnis bei Dir7v2a?

Ich habe Version 7V1 installiert und dann entsprechend der Anleitung das Update 9V1 installiert... :?
 
Meine Inhalte sind die selben - die Aircraft ist inhaltlich identisch - ich weiss es auch nicht mehr... :-(

Jetzt wird's langsam klarer. Die V1 ist von 2002 und wurde irgendwann mit dem Update für den FS9 angepasst. Die V2 ist eine komplett überarbeitete Version von 2007, inklusive VC. Die Texturen sind zwischen diesen Versionen nicht kompatibel.
Lade dir mal die V2 hier von der Website (Link direkt beim Repaint; oder Datei d7vcmdla.zip bei Avsim). Damit sollte es klappen.
