Hi,

Just a short message to inform all that I had a Computer crash. :'(
So I've just reinstalled Windows, Internet. :(
I have to reinstall all software I had. :S
So I will be offline a little bit.
Back ASAP.

Cheers
Pierre ;)

A little more practise, and you can have a full format, windows install, all programs installed, and flight sim with all addons installed within a day :D (i've done it that many times :lol: )

Don't listen to Andrew - he's an obsessive re-installer! We are still looking for a good therapist....

The top 6 situations when the your FS crashes: :devil:

1) when you are about to land, especially after a long haul flight;
2) when you decide to make your first flight on-line, right after you ask ATC for clearance;
3) when you have just installed a new scenery which you have bought for 50 Euros;
4) when you make a flight on-line with a friend;
5) when you are enjoying a second leg of an event;
6) when your wife and kids have gone out for the whole evening.

:lol:

Funny as it is... but true!

Rafal I added your top 6 to my MEL - should be called AML (absolute minimum equipment list), just Windows and nothing else :lol:
Looking at No 1 and keeping my fingers crossed. Remaining only two hours from Manila to Calgary :phew:

Yes Rafal - this time Alan Price was sitting in first class ("O Lucky Man") ;)
Manila-Calgary-Warsaw without any problems. Aircraft bounced as usual on the date line ( :lol: ), but generally a very quiet flight with a lot of jetstreams. Summarizing:
10132Nm, 21:52h and 144452kg of JetA burned by both powerful GE90-110Bs

Hi Gents,

Reinstall takes a little more time than expected.
Some softwares need an activation code depending HDD serial number. :?
I had to mail supports to get new one.

Don't be affraid, I'm still alive :rofl:

See you soon

Pierre ;)

I will. :rofl: Test new routes for you. :lol:

"Your system has just been recovered after a crtitical error. Click here to report the .."
How I love this message, especially when it appears 2 days after full reinstallation. :devil:

Anyway, my FSFK ACARS Device went funny. Most often than not it won't display the text system menu. I've reinstalled almost everything, except for the system and FS. Invain. :'(

Pierre, you're not alone :hug:

not alone at all.

i just approached London City, got to the 10 read out on the GPWS and froze and crashed. :eek:uch:

3 times in last 4 flights i've had computer failure :'(

Xplane said:
...Tens of thousands of users have done it already. Switch to X-Plane and find out how accurate a computer flight model can be. Don't worry... You can bring over your old MSFS scenery...
Really begin to ponder on it. After so many years I have enough of this M-$.it.
The contents of the phone book of New York is nothing compared to the amount of Profanity, that man has spoken using MSFS. Not to mention wasted time.

Hi Gents,

Reinstall is completed. :p
I peform a test flight today and will back for assignment tomorrow.
Glad to fly again. :rofl:

Cheers
Pierre

I know the feeling Pierre, I got a nasty virus yesterday, so spent today reinstalling....

11.30 - Format c:
12.30 - Windows and sp1 installed
14.30 - All programs and utilities I use installed and configured
15.10 - FSX +sp1 +sp2 installed
17.00 - All addons I use (including trackIR etc) installed

Still need to edit aircraft panels for flightkeeper, and install air-child liveries. Apart from that, I'm all ready to go :LOL:

5 hours 30 mins from start to finish :up:

No, Drew, not you reinstalling again! :rofl:

I suggest you write "ACH VA SRRG" (Standard Reinstallation and Recovery Guide)" :lol:

They say you can get quite a few of freeware antivirus software online, btw. :p

My anti-virus license ran out Christmas day, and I didn't renew it. Boxing day I get a virus, that will teach me in future :lol:

Look on the bright side, I have a nice clean faster running system now :yes:
