Computer crash

Hello Folks,

Here I'm back after many adventures as known by Andrew.
A first test flight yesterday to verify all addons work well (ASA, FSFK, FSRealTime and so on....)
Second and last test flight today, and all will only be a bad souvenir.

Friendly
Pierre ;)

Some my crash list and some unfortunate events...

1. EDDK-LTBA - PMDG 737-800
-> 4x black screen of death CTD (Mid flight, Finals, Approach, Power Cutoff) :x

2. VTBS-LOWW - PSS 772
-> after 5 hrs of cruising and crossing already the Black Sea when FSFK just stopped for unknown reason...
(culprit: unknown disappearance of menu list in FS) :envy: :x

3. EDDK-LHBP - PMDG 737-700
-> Flying on VATSIM, just after reaching cruise level.. Poof, flashbang - all white (Not responding FS).. :x

4. EDDK - LEIB -> PMDG 737-800
-> Completed the flight but again.. the disappearance of Menu list in FS while submitting the PIREP from FSFK ended only on a frustrating "Not Responding" FSFK... crap.. 2 hr 20 mins wasted.. :envy:

5. EGLL - KLAX
-> Already crossed Atlantic and entering Greenland FIR when the power suddenly cuts off. :x :x

Anyway,How do you often make re-installation of FS?
Having compiled more 10GB's of add-ons is kinda a headache to organize and to install..
Any guides would be helpful..

Hello Gents.

As you, I'm confronted with MSFS crashes.
I thought to a solution which seems not so bad:

After crashes, reinstall the entire PC. So Windows, Antivirus, Internet connection, all devices drivers, and only the essential + MSFS and all addons you usually use.
Then, make an hard disk drive image and save it on external drive like HDD, BlueRay disk or DVD's.

So if a big crash occurs, in few minutes, you can restore the configuration as it was just after a new install.

That what I'll do at next crash.

Friendy
Pierre
