ACH MD-11 VC textures

Hi all, my first attempt at installing the Air Child repaints on the PMDG MD-11 and found some font textures in the VC to be messed up on the FS9 version. These 2 screenshots show the pilot and co-pilot areas in the VC that has the issue:

I know these textures were converted from FSX to FS9. Everything looks great except for the fonts not showing or too big for the buttons. What should I do to correct this?

Not sure what has gone on there, just checked on FSX and everything looks fine.

If you can run a test for me, (which is how the package should actually be packed)

Sort the folder by date created, at the top (or bottom depending how you sorted it) there should be 9 BMP files that are the actual texture. (4 tails, 2 engines, 2 fuses, and a winglet)

That should be all that is in the downloadable package, so keep them, and delete all the other files in that folder.

Then go to the standard md-11 texture folder, and copy all of those files, and paste them into the ACH folder, selecting NO when asked to overwrite any files.

Doing this, you should have the textures from the standard plane, but with the airchild livery.

Let me know if that works :)

Just looking, and notice that there has been a service update for the md-11, so not everyone is using the same version. Maybe the download package is using a different version than you Joe, so the files maybe slightly different. The above solution should fix it for you :up:

Anyway i'm in process of repacking the files just to included the actual livery, then people will copy the extra files from the existing md11 texture :)
 
Thanks, Drew! The VC problem is now fixed :) but now I have the PMDG lettering above the windscreen of each aircraft because of using the default aircraft textures. I could likely rectify this by using the same method you suggested but using the textures of a different livery?

By the way, while I'm on the subject of the ACH textures, the ATR-72 only has the blue VC cockpit textures, correct? I installed the ATR textures last night and couldn't get the Flight1 ATR configurator to change the VC textures to the high res. brown textures for the ACH livery. Plus,there is a partial brown VC panel texture peeking 1/4 of the way above the Pilot's side windscreen of the ATR :( I can post a screenshot of it if needed. I can live with the blue VC textures but I'm use to flying in the real brown environment on the -42, so blue is rather awkward for me ;)

Update: I got all of the MD-11 textures looking perfect now. The decal file did the trick. Now I will see how to fix the ATR VC textures.

ATR livery is not one of mine, and I usually fly with the blue cockpit (just as i've never changed it) even though the config said brown.

In the config, I turned off wide angle, changed it to blue, saved, (saying copying vc) then changed it back to brown, saved again,(said copying vc again) and in FSX (i know your using fs9) I now have brown cockpit in VC :up:
