Heh, they look a bit like portholes with grime streaking down from them.

Is this a problem with a texture itself or could it be my env_map reflections. I've got custom ones installed to make my birds shinier, but I've not seen this problem before. :'(

James, I don't think this has to do with reflection maps or alpha channel. It's probably the creative spirit of the painter ;) (unless it's the way Feelthere designed the default textures; don't think so).

The paint was made by Martin Vonk and we currently do not have any raw (photoshop) templates. I will ask Martin to send them, so you can download and adjust the way you like it.

Hey, no worries. Don't about the paintkits I have no talent whatsoever editing or creating liveries. ;) I'll trust Mr. Vonk's judgement, after all, the textures are excellent.

But if I keep putting in squawks about my bird being dirty then...

To me (not sure if it's right) but I think its suppose to look like dirt on the plane, rather than have a pristine looking plane for every flight, to give it more character. You can notice it coming from the back top edge of the doors too.

I could always be wrong though

Definitely dirt. I think it's about the smears on the windows. They go downwards - should rather point to the rear ... from flying, ya know

At least, that's what I understood. :newbie:

Ah, but i've been informed what actual happened to the plane by higher authorities.

It had a late night landing, and was not used again until the next morning. Upon landing, it flew through a sandstorm, which completely covered the plane in dust and dirt. During the night when it was parked up, there was a rain storm, which cause the dirt to run down the plane (particularly from the windows :? ) causing streaks down the plane under the windows.

James, I'm sure in the pilot manual somewhere, it says it is the pilots responsibility to wash the aircraft before departure  :p
