AIRCHILD AIRSHOW LIVE!

Freek Vandeursen said:
well I have been looking at charts, trying and puzzling, but it's an absolute nightmare to design a route from EDDK to EPKK. No matter what I try, I'm always ending up with an error somewhere.I think I'll just depart from EHAM

Just use the plan I provided, for AIRAC1004.

I am with you!

Route:
KUMIK Y854 BOMBI UL984 RASPU UZ660 ROKEM UZ650 BERVA UM748 NIT UM985 JAB

Cheers Tom

Re: AIRCHILD AIRSHOW LIVE! Xplane EPKK

Gents, as it looks right now, I can not be with you tomorrow. Well, nothing new for most of you, as I already missed about the last 3 online events :p

I spoke with Tom today and he will play the role of "group leader" tomorrow. He will be online some time before departure time, and if anyone has any questions, just log into teamspeak and bother him ;)
Thanks, Tom!

yes i will be there ... actually I thought about paragliding this weekend in the swiss alps - but after weeks of rain the air will be filled with funny plastic backs - so I will go on sunday afternoon and monday. I will be online on EDDK and on TS at 12.00 UTC - see you there ...

cheers Tom

Hello,
It's my first post on this forum, so I want to say hello for Every Air-Child's pilots.
I know, thats it's low time to our event, but I think, that I'm found alternative routes to EPKK, compatible with AIRAC1006.
Route: GESTO Z870 BKD UL619 CZE UL981 JED M985 POBOK

Rafal, woulkd You like to veryfy this route?

Hi Maciej, here is what I found out:
Route:
KUMIK Y854 BOMBI UL984 RASPU UZ660 ROKEM UZ650 BERVA UM748 NIT UM985 JAB
Good. But for AIRAC 1004. For AIRAC 1006:
ERRORS AT FL = 330:
(FPL-LOT001-IS -B738/M-SDRWY/S -EDDK1150 -N0430F330 GESTO Z870 BKD UL619 PITEN Z998 RATMO Z997 SUI UL980 CZE UL981 JED UM866 BABKO UZ201 REDSI UL853 MEBAN UM985 JAB -EPKK0217 -0) PROF50: CLIMBING/DESCENDING OUTSIDE THE VERTICAL LIMITS OF SEGMENT BABKO UZ201 REDSI PROF204: RS: TRAFFIC VIA BABKO IS ON FORBIDDEN ROUTE REF:[LZ2038A] BABKO
ROUTE135: THE SID LIMIT IS EXCEEDED FOR AERODROME EDDK [EDDK1A] CONNECTING TO GESTO.

KUMIK Y854 BOMBI UL984 RASPU UZ660 ROKEM UZ650 BERVA UM748 NIT UM985 JAB
:
ERRORS AT FL = 330:
(FPL-LOT001-IS -B738/M-SDRWY/S -EDDK1150 -N0430F330 KUMIK Y854 BOMBI UL984 RASPU UZ660 ROKEM UZ650 BERVA UM748 NIT UM985 JAB -EPKK0157 -0) PROF204: RS: TRAFFIC VIA EDDK IS ON FORBIDDEN ROUTE REF:[ED2409B] Y854 KUMIK BOMBI

Both suggested routes are ok for AIRAC1004.

Gents, it indeed looks like hell to find a good one for airac 1006. But look at it from the other point of view:

1) all the fixes afor airac 1004 and 1006 exist. This means pilots can reach them and know where to fly.
2) ATC at VS shall not refuse a pilot to fly just because he has not bought the newest airac version. and, if necessary, shall vector you.
3) There is indeed sth wrong with the AIRAC1006 FP verification engine. It rejects 80% of the airac 1005 and 1004 flight plans, this would mean tha almost the entire routing system has changed. :?:

Anyway, considering all above, my suggestion is that any plan valid for 1004 or 1005 should be taken, if nothing else is left to choose. How come are we unable to fly from Cologne to Krakow?

Norbert, you dealt with flight planning a lot, what's your opinion?
:hi:

The problem is not in the verification engine I think. The German AIP clearly says that departures on the Y854 from KUMIK are only allowed for certain airways to the south. That's why all routes starting on KUMIK to the UL603 or UL984 are rejected.

So I guess a valid route would need to be made starting at PODIP. No luck so far though.

Thanks to all ACH pilots who represented this VA on the Krakow Airshow. I think it was a big success - I saw: ACH0338, ACH0395, ACH0398, ACH0339, ACH0043, ACH0174, ACH0134, ACH0131 and me ACH0113. Thanks to the pilots. I hope I did not forgot somebody! Also thanks to Rafael for all information.
Cheers Tom

Dear ACH pilots!
My heart grew fonder when I saw so many of you flying one after another into my home town, I was very busy down there gettings things goind at the ATC centre at the airshow, but when CTR told me about ACH formation entering Krakow TMA I just grabbed my headset and manned the EPKK tower. And right in the middle of the series of ACH landings - the Murphies Law - the Internet went down, all centre cut off. We had a few backup contollers on alert at home, so the event could go on, however, the latest technologies do play tricks. We used a special radio transceiver anthenna for the internet (much more powerful than the wi-fi system), but all of a sudden the signal got suppressed temporarily by a much stronger electromagnetic field. Th cut-off lasted for a few minutes, so I managed to welcome the last ACH pilots, at least!

Thank you for coming and thanks to you Tom, for your kind leadership of the group hop. It was great to see you all in such abundance and a good shape!!!

It was the malice of inanimate objects. Unfortunately it happened to 5nm before my landing. But I hope that there will be an opportunity for a larger group of ACH arrival to Krakow. On the occasion want to thank you for the joint flight. It was new for me and a very nice experience. Rafal, big thanks to you for organizing this event.

It was a great flight with ATC almost all the way. And I got to say the Krakow scenery is a really nice one. I'll be back for another flight soon.
