We made some changes to the charter briefing. First and IMPORTANT: before you use the charter briefing, please clear your browser cache to entirely remove all cached stuff. Otherwise the briefing may not work. After that's done you may have to log in again.
Now the changes (which you will notice anyway):
When you enter a departure and arrival airport, the program will look for existing connections in the flight schedule. If there are matching flights, you will see a note like this:
Now you can chose ...
- to do nothing and just go on with your entries
- to click on "take me there" and see something like this:
- or to click "give me a route" and end up with this:
The alternate, flight level and route are instantly filled in. You only have to confirm with "update briefing" to have your arrival time calculated.
The reason for this was that many people seem to book charter flights even if there are matching flights available in the schedule, including the routing and alternate. With the new info you can still make a charter but get a route suggestion with alternate and recommended cruise level. Or you just pick a scheduled flight and honor Norbert's dispatch work
(btw: Norbert is currently passing his free time with validating all routes against current AIRAC data; nice work ...)
The suggested flights are always suitable for your aircraft. So you will not be presented with a high level route on FL390 if you charter a Dash.
This "small" addition involved changes in many places, that's why you should clear all traces of cached browser stuff.
Report problems in this thread. Thanks!
