Hello

I've noticed changes on our website in the hangar section. Have to say it looks very nice.

Greetings

Thanks, Rafal. Nice to get some feedback. It's not ready yet. I will at least add an overview of pilot ranks and allowed aircraft for the advanced modes.
Later on we'll add basic technical info for each aircraft type.
Anymore suggestions for this page? Go ahead.

Hello Peter

I don't know how you plan to do this, but I think that, it would be a good idea, if the pilot would read and watch only those aircraft(s), which are currently available for him (her) on the basis of his (her) rank.

PS. And one more thing OFFTOPIC. Just curiousity. Does in our Airline we have woman Pilots?

Hm, difficult one. Maybe not so much from the technical side, but the layout would have to be very flexible. I'll think about it.

Popular question, I guess, because they are hard to find in flight simulation. Actually, we have one woman among the so called 'VIP' members. That's people who do not fly but are registered for different reasons, like Andreas Fuchs from Vatsim Germany, Hartmut Krüger who does the X-Plane repaints and, among others, Camilli de Bellis. She's Italian and she's a scenery designer for X-Plane.
Apart from her we had several pilot applications by women in the past, but they all disappeared without leaving a trace - um, pirep. Don't know how exactly we scared them off, but it seems we did. ;)

Hey Peter

I don't have for now any suggestion for this page, but yesterday I want to look over my fleet just to know which airplane I can buy in FS Passenger based on my rank in the VA. So I looked at the Pilot manual point section and noticed, that not all aircrafts availble thru the dispatch centre are mentioned in the pilots manual. For example there isn't ERJ190. I can correct this, but I don't have the source file.

I don't have it either. Jeroen Bos has it, and it's really time we make an update of the manual. But this is usually a lot of work and will take time. The reason why we always postponed it ...

As I said above, I will add an overview of ranks and allowed aircraft to the hangar page, soon.
The EMB 190 as well as the ERJ 145 are available at level 2, btw. That's Second Officer.

Hello Peter or Norbert

Could you write us all of the website changes lately made, because when I go to the different parts of the website I Find something new such an advanced flight seatch its really nice.

Greetings

Hi Rafal. If by advanced flight search you mean this ...
[imgr]http://www.air-child.com/files/pix/scr_flightsearch.png[/imgr]
... it's not a new feature. It has been there since the beginning. The only thing I recently added was the "grab handle" (red circle), to make it easier to notice ;)

I am currently preparing a "road map", or schedule, with the next steps of changes and additions to the website. A lot of improvements and new things are planned, but I also admit that some are already planned since a long time ....
The road map will help us keep track of things, and it will show you what's coming (sooner or later, lol).

There are some Easter eggs hidden in the website, for example a few weeks ago on my birthday there was a cake on the pilot's lounge page. And I swear it wan't a lie! :D I was a pleasant surprise and a very nice touch.

Hello

So if we've started such topic. I've looked at our maps, there is 2 of them and they're different. One we have in flight reports live watch section and the second one is in hangar. I was wondering is it possible to ad to this in hangar labels or political or geographic borders like there is in live watch. some times I'm looking for another plane in specific place, city, country, and without borders is bit ;) (just a bit ;) ) harder.

Greetings

Your wish is my command
While the live map gets constantly adjusted, the fleet map has been somewhat neglected. If you look at it now, you'll notice that I now use a dropdown display to select different map types. Personally, I like that style better than the buttons we had before. And it uses less space. What do you think? If you like it better, we can change the controls on the live map as well.

Second new feature (for testing) is the 3D map type (Earth). To use it you must have the GoogleEarth plugin installed. I'm not sure if this is useful for flying in any way. Up to you ... tell us your thoughts.

Another note on the live map: with some flights today the Vatsim indication was missing. On the map as well as in pireps. It wasn't Air-Child related. There was simply no data available from the vroute source. As far as I can see it's up again.

To add to the post above, this is how the live map would look like in Google Earth plugin:

Kinda cool, but I'm still not sure what it could be good for :D

Hi there

Another Idea for website. I'm just not quite sure is it possible to make ot it will look ok. I was looking at the topic about UNICEF donations. Is it possible to make another statistic with quarter and overall donation as a bar chart?

Grretings

Yes, this is possible, Rafal. Very good idea. I have added it to the (very long) to-do list ;)
