Had to return to RPLL due to a technical failure during flight no. 2
Fatal autopilot-failure (hit "Z" by mistake during approach and had a meeting at work :x )

Many, many thanks to all pilots who took part in that event !! We are especially happy about our new pilots from the Philippines and Singapore who probably registered due to this fly-in. Thank you for joining!

To give you a rough overview: I have counted about 33 flights going to and from RPML We count them all, including some flights (mostly by Hans-Dieter) made before the 22nd.
I will give a more detailed summary, tomorrow. Unfortunately I won't have the time for it, tonight, but I can already announce that there will be donations of around 120 Euros going to UNICEF for the Philippines.
Thanks for your efforts and for the lovely screenshots!

UNICEF and its help in the philippines:

In the last article they write:
It takes so little to achieve so much. A one-time gift of Php400 can already provide 16 children suffering from severe diarrhea with ORS treatment in combination with zinc supplements. Zinc supplements cost only 1 peso per tablet and prevent the recurrence of diarrhea in the next 2-3 months after the first episode.

Or if you feel you can do more, please consider a one-time contribution of Php800 or more which can help provide a shallow well and water pump for 1 community so that residents can have access to safe, drinking water.

At the moment 120,00 EUR = 6,000.00 phil peso

Imagine yourself, what UNICEF Can do with the airline-donation (thanks to everyone, opening his private purse to pay for the flights).

oh and btw: post your screenshots here.
mabe i can make a short video about the event

With a pretty huge delay, but at least before the end of the year, we'd like to announce the final outcome of our Philippines Urgent Action event.
All in all we have counted 36 flights to and from RPML between Dec 20 and 23. Thanks to all who took part! Due to an unexpected raise in funding, we increased the per-flight donations to ... more or less ... exactly ... 4.44 Euros ;)
This results in 160 Euros to be donated to UNICEF. Donations were made by ...

- Zeljko Budovic - 50 €
- Norbert Woeller - 50 €
- Morten Grandt - 30 €
- myself - 30 €

Thanks for your support!
