Re: New Air Child VA group

Hope that someone will join in then we can run the company.
If you want to lease your aircraft the VA can pay you for leasing the aircraft.
Minimum requirements is that income being matched over lease prize at that aircraft min.

Hope to see you guys there and if you have any questions just pm me here or on email andersstemland (@) hotmail.com

Hi Anders,

What about reviving the group? I think there was not much going on lately... I'm just waiting for a new board for my thrust lever, then I can get airborne again...

Hey.
Yes have been waiting for air child to come alive again
Currently we have no network to fly in?

Any suggestion where we maybe can start build a network maybe?

I am also wondering on starting a new concept in there. Like pilots being paid a monthly wage depending on how much they fly based on the income in the group.

Does that hears intresting?

Indeed, it does.

Concerning networks & concept stuff, I'm a bloody rookie, so I'll do what I'm told ;)

Yep. I'm thinking of making it to free to fly wherever you want group. Group is paying rent (you can rent any aircraft) have the pilot pay at 80 % now but if I'm suffering big losses I have to lower that. We will see ;-)

Hi, I think 80% could be too high - I just checked some of the pay logs, and indeed, the last two flights I did generated a negative result for the group (though being positive assignments in total) - cf. http://server.fseconomy.net/log.jsp?from=0&id=7212965 and http://server.fseconomy.net/log.jsp?from=0&id=7213266.

With a pilot fee of 60%, both flights would have generated some earnings for the group (~ $1,500 all together).

What do people want of aircrafts. I mean. The income of the group can be to buy a aircraft.
Should we have a vote who last 1 month then we will see what aircraft we gonna save to?
Just an idea. ?

Anders

I like the idea of aligning on aircrafts the group should buy - but before voting, we should ensure the aircrafts short-listed can also be made available as charter aircrafts in ACH, so we can fly them both in ACH and FSE. Anyway, we're counting chickens yet to hatch - let's go and make the money before we talk about spending it :)

Agree :) open for all ideas ;-) what about save 20k each month and all over that is getting back to pilot bonuses based on how much they contributed?

We should also get a new forum for this since all this is almost outdated on this forum.

20k sounds good for the beginning - the more people will join, we can adapt.

Agreed on the forum - it seems Ricardo's no longer frequenting this forum, and there's plenty of outdated information 'round here... Maybe the admins can archive this one (move it to a closed section) and open up a new one...?

I have only 3 1 lot fbos in California. Suitable for a c172 to run these 3 fbos. Any idea ? Should we create a network or a schedule of flights on fse or just fly wherever we want ++ ? Takes time to build a network too and vcash. If anyone here have a network they are welcome to share it :)

Another options is to join Chilkoot Alliance and create air child in EDDK area and dispatch flights via chilkoot air as air child. Then air child pilot can also fly all others alliance flights and vice versa.

That's the easiest and maybe best odds to get successful.
But I want yours opinions too.

I'd prefer to keep it open - I enjoy renting & flying the aircrafts I have models for, and going from and to places with good scenery coverage. The moment I'm bound to specific areas I'd probably fly less or more on personal assignment since I don't like going to airports just consisting of a landing strip and apron, but no buildings (not even a shed - that's X-Plane's lovely 2D scenery )

Hi all,

I ran into the issue of creating losses for the ACH FSE group although the flight itself was positive. To help estimating if a flight will be positive for ACH as well, I built a simple Excel workbook which you just feed with some parameters of the flight.

Of course not as sophisticated as PFPX, but it should be sufficient to give you a ROM estimate whether a flight will hurt you, ACH or both :)

You can grab it here from my Google Drive:

Nice. Pilot pay is at 60 % and of course you can rent any aircraft you want. Just try to not get so much minus. Just as it is a little on plus side and if we get much money in the bank bonuses will be paid out so everybody wins on that.
I am thinking if bonus should be paid out only if you have flown a minimum of 10 flights that month? And then split the bonus on those? :)

Last flight was better (+1k for ACH) - indeed bigger assignments can get quite tricky, as it's hard to know add. fees coming with larger aircrafts (add. crew) or too many assignments (booking fees).

Fine with that, and maybe we should also set up a kind of gentlemen's agreement: in case you created a net minus for ACH in a month, you won't get a bonus and instead are kindly encouraged to balance by transferring the difference from your personal account (ok, first one to shoot with that will be me ;))
