Repaint "Teamwork"

Salute pilots !

Would like to show you my current project for air child.
A "special" repaint for the MD-11 (PW for now, GE will follow) / FS9

I was inspired by Norbert Pflug, who posted photos of his holidays at our VACC Austria forum ;)
The front fuselage is covered by a so called "Azulejo" which refers to a typical form of Portuguese or Spanish painted, tin-glazed, ceramic tilework.
This one is is located at the São Bento Train Station and shows King Afonso VII of Castile and Léon.
Artist: Egas Moniz

The rest of the plane offers some design aspects not 100% sticked to the original paints.
Nevertheless the engines and the tail kept the same :)

Of course I would be glad if you could support me in improving the livery so "she" enters service one day. Every comment welcome :yes:

Sry, had to post the links to the pics as I experienced problems with the pic size in the forum.

Mario,

Maximum width for pictures is 600px, or they get cropped.
 
Great work, Mario! And a very nice idea with the Azulejo. The only thing I miss a little, is the relation to Unicef, children.... but, anyway, it's nice! ;)
Maybe you could try to push the Azulejo part a little more to the middle of the plane? At the moment it looks a little as if the aircraft caught a cold and has to wear a scarf :lol: Well, nevermind.

Norbert (Woeller) and I already spoke about special paints some time ago. Just think of some plane names, like Peter Pan, Harry Potter, Asterix or ... Shakira ;) - I see some nice special paints here. The only problem at the moment is that the repaint database isn't prepared for those, yet. Will have to think of some solution for that.

Great idea and thanks for sharing with us. :) I will definately get this livery once it is available...

And since you seem to know what you are doing regarding repaints, would you mind giving me some help regarding repaints? I dont have a clue :) But we will dicuss this next time we meet in TS

"Sachsen Paule" would look rather nice on an MD11: its a "3-holer" :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :yes: :yes: :yes:

Same concept, new ideas
Tried to process as much input as possible.

The Azulejo is now in the centre, giving a "better balanced" and healthier ( ;) ) look.
The light blue lines are now a major element as they lead over the whole fuselage.
The only thing I was not able to improve was the relation to UNICEF as Peter mentioned.
Anyway I have added the missing writing "flying for children". :)

Yo MD11-Buddy ;-)

Nice one! Maybe as a suggestion, maybe it's worth to reduce the size of the image a lil. Like on the vacc-austria livery i made, just the image a little bit larger than the photos i used ;-)

Btw - Still looking for the MPH-Pax livery :rofl:

Yes, plane looks much healthier now ;) While you're at it, maybe a little less alpha. It's almost too shiny to be true ...probably cleaned and polished by Steve :lol:
 
Alpha and small corrections are already worked on ;)
Just wanted to wait for some feedback on the paint itself :)
 
Just a question to all painters in this forum:
Does anyone of you have a realistic alpha for the PMDG MD-11. 8)
Obviously I'm not able to get it right :no:
 
Andrew made the Cargo repaint, where the alpha looks quite good, imo.
If you are painting for FS9 you can also give it to Andrew for FSX conversion, once ready. He is a certified FS9-FSX converter! :lol: *duckandcover*
