ACH HUB INSPECTION - Group flights for 2010

Re: ACH HUB INSPECTION SCHEME - GROUP FLIGHTS FOR THE 2010

I got an excellent opportunity to check security in Hong Kong;
5Nm final on Kai Tak's IGS 13 - crash to desktop (!)
Thanks to the wonderful work of security agents (five Jackie Chans had to hold me) my computer has remained in one piece.
Note = 10 :clap:
M$ FS note = -100

Re: ACH HUB INSPECTION SCHEME - GROUP FLIGHTS FOR THE 2010

That is a pit gents, that is - anyway - please regarded the first inspection as completed (except the bars which are being still attended) :pop: :hug: :cheers:

Re: ACH HUB INSPECTION SCHEME - GROUP FLIGHTS FOR THE 2010

Yeoram, Peter and me at VHHK
Hahaha that's the most exotic spelling I've ever seen of my name :rofl: :rofl: It's Jeroen, pronounced in English as yaroon, like in the colour maroon, but with a y. It doesn't matter though, I am used to the difficulty of my name here in Ireland. So that's why everyone calls me Jerome, what would be the english equivalent of Jeroen. And to top it all, I can't pronounce the R, so guess how much trouble I have explaining to people how to pronounce it.... :lol:

Anyway, I really enjoyed this fly-in. Thrilling landing with low clouds, only when I landed it was day :think: How's that possible??? :p It's good to see that my 737 has the aerlingus colours :)

Re: ACH HUB INSPECTION SCHEME - GROUP FLIGHTS FOR THE 2010

Please accept my apologies Jeroen - I will not change the prevoius post since your would loose sense :rofl:

I confused your name with Yoram, which is the name of another ACH pliot. This is how I blended it unintentionally. Sorry again!!!!!!! :oops:

:hi:

Re: ACH HUB INSPECTION SCHEME - GROUP FLIGHTS FOR THE 2010

nevermind the name, he also got the destination airport wrong (VHHH) :LOL:

Bad day at the office Rafal? :eek:uch:

Re: ACH HUB INSPECTION SCHEME - GROUP FLIGHTS FOR THE 2010

This only happened because we had to inspect the bars without you! All those drinks that were already payed. Someone had to finish them. It was awful! :envy: :p

:cheers:

Re: ACH HUB INSPECTION SCHEME - GROUP FLIGHTS FOR THE 2010

Ok, guys, you can take it out on me, I don't mind :rofl:

But this time I corrected my post 8)

All of that happened because all I was thinking of was the lunch due to the time of the flight - the ACH VA Board paid only for testing the drinks. :pop:

Some ammendments needed in the company inspections policy regarding the food at hubs for pilots whose landing time is lunchtime. :rofl:

:hi:

Re: ACH HUB INSPECTION SCHEME - GROUP FLIGHTS FOR THE 2010

Anyway I did not saw any bars Rafal;
commencing my 07L approach I saw only the localiser needle and rightly decided to go for lowpass...to feel like I'm back in 1996 or so - I have VHHX by 9Dragons installed and forgot to move VHHH on higher layer. :lol:

Thank you all for your delightful company during flight and sorry for the shameless No1 position for take off - I hate slots :rofl:

Re: ACH HUB INSPECTION SCHEME - GROUP FLIGHTS FOR THE 2010

It was nice to have flown with you guys, the two hour flight was very worth. :)
But I was the last one to land on VHHH... ;)

Re: ACH HUB INSPECTION SCHEME - GROUP FLIGHTS FOR THE 2010

Genno, I tried to set up the timetable for HUB inspections around 13:00 UTC most of the times, so I hope you will be able to join us on January 31st, for our next inspection.

My advice is to be there a few minutes before time, so you can set up your acft and let someone else be the last one 8)

It was great you joined us for this flight.

:hi:

Yeah, I was quite late when I logged in VATSIM... but still i was able to hop in.

Anyway, is there a *.doc version of those Hub Inspection Checklist..?
I don't have Office 2007 in my computer since I still use Office 2003.. :lol:

ALL ACH inpsectors - thank you for sending your feedback. The poll is closed now.
All your remarks will soon be published.

In 2 week's time there is a second inspection! Monitor the forum for details.
:hi:

Hello there,

is there a schedule of departing airports to the airports to be inspected?

Rgrds,
ACH0228 Wim

Hello Wim,

no, there isn't. Pilot's suggestions are welcome, but the airport of departure should have charts available, as well as an add-on scenery, preferrebaly free. The flight should not be longer than 2 hrs and 15 mins, and a valid route :D

However, I reserve the right to make a final decision since many pilots may want a different aiport and we can't meet all proposed locations at a time, I hope you understand :up:

:hi:

I like both airports ;)

Anyway, different idea: How about a group arrival only, instead of a group departure? Everyone could choose his departure airport on his own and would have to make sure he arrives at the hub together (more or less) with the pack. Within a time window, something like 15:00 to 15:30, for example.
This would require some time planning for the pilots but everyone would be free to fly a short hop or a long haul. And we'd meet on Teamspeak anyway.
Just a thought.
